Publication number: 20200198706Abstract: An attachment is configured to connect a first connecting plate of a vehicle component to a second connecting plate of a vehicle body. The attachment includes a body, first, second and third flanges, and a press-fit insert. The attachment is of an elastically deformable material and is configured to be inserted into first and second through holes of the first and second connecting plates. The flanges engage the connecting plates when the attachment is inserted into the through holes. The body includes a hole extending longitudinally within the body to accommodate the press-fit insert. The press-fit insert has a diameter greater than the diameter of the hole to form a snug connection between the press-fit insert and the hole. The insertion of the press-fit insert into the hole elastically deforms the attachment to urge the body radially against the connecting plates to provide a robust connection between the connecting plates.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2018Publication date: June 25, 2020Inventors: John VANDERMEER, Jacob WRIGHT, Teodor BOGDAN

Publication number: 20200079436Abstract: A vehicle includes a cargo area having a surface and a floor assembly. The floor assembly includes a pair of elongated trim panels, a floor panel and a pair of locking mechanisms. The pair of elongated trim panels are mounted to the surface of the cargo area at opposite sides thereof. The floor panel is slidably disposed onto the surface of the cargo area and between the pair of trim panels. The pair of locking mechanisms connect the floor panel and the pair of trim panels to prevent vertical and horizontal movement of the floor panel when the floor panel is fully disposed onto the surface of the cargo area.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2018Publication date: March 12, 2020Inventors: Flor Elena Quiros Perez, Edgar Ceballos, Maurice J Gisler, John H Pray, Uzziel Ramirez, Jacob Wright

Patent number: 10059191Abstract: The present teachings provide for a flow restrictor for a coolant line of an internal combustion engine coolant system. The flow restrictor can include a restrictor element and a biasing member. The restrictor element can include a restrictor plate and a tab non-rotatably coupled at an angle. The biasing member can rotationally bias the restricting element to a first position where the restricting plate is substantially parallel to the flow of fluid. The tab can be configured to create a torque on the restricting element to overcome the biasing member and rotate the restricting plate to block a portion of the fluid flow path when the flow exceeds a predetermined flow rate.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2014Date of Patent: August 28, 2018Assignees: DENSO International America, Inc., DENSO CORPORATIONInventor: Jacob Wright

Patent number: 7779047Abstract: Provided are techniques for storing data. Invocation of a data access service is received, wherein the invocation identifies a data structure storing one or more data elements having a data format. An update handler to be plugged into a data access framework is identified, wherein the update handler processes data elements having the data format. Under control of the update handler, data elements are accessed in the data structure; one or more statements for storing the data elements into the data store are determined; and the one or more statements are forwarded to the data access framework.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2007Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: William Robert Bireley, Delmar Eugene Blevins, Stephen Andrew Brodsky, Anshul Dawra, Swaminathan Gounder, Timo Juhani Salo, Brandon Jacob Wright Smith

Patent number: 7673672Abstract: A heat exchanger has a plurality of tubes and a plurality of fins alternatively arranged to define a core portion of the heat exchanger. A side plate is arranged at opposite sides of the core portion. Each end of the tubes and side plates extend through a core plate. Each core plate mates with a respective tank to define a sealed chamber. The ends of the tubes are disposed within the sealed chamber. The ends of the side plates and disposed outside the sealed chamber. This allows for a non-brazed connection between the core plates and the side plates.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 9, 2010Assignee: Denso International America, Inc.Inventors: Jodie Velzy, Jacob Wright, Yoshikazu Miyano
