    Abstract: A group management method and system for group communication in an interworking system of an IMPS system and a SIMPLE IM system is provided. In the method, a client currently connected to one of the IMPS system and the SIMPLE IM system requests the retrieval of the group properties of a group included in the other system to which the client is not connected. The group property retrieval request is converted into a protocol format supported by the other system and is forwarded to the other system. The other system retrieves the group properties of the group, generates a group property response including the retrieved group properties, and forwards the group property response. The group property response is converted into a protocol format supported by the currently connected system and is forwarded to the currently connected system. The currently connected system forwards the group property response to the client.

To this end, the present invention uses preference information of a recipient in determining a non-CPM service to be subjected to interworking. In this way, the CPM service can interwork with non-CPM services, contributing to expansion of an area where services can be provided.

    Abstract: In a Converged IP Messaging (CPM) service, an arbitrary terminal generates a message based on a user input, and transmits the message to a CPM server. Upon receiving the message, the CPM server requests a presence server to provide presence information corresponding to a recipient of the message. The presence server searches for presence information corresponding to the recipient in response to the request of the CPM server, and transmits the searched presence information to the CPM server. Based on the transmitted presence information, the CPM server decides to perform interworking for the message, decides a type of a messaging service for interworking, and transmits the message to an Interworking Function (IWF) according to the decided type of the messaging service. The IWF receives the message, converts the message according to the decided messaging service, and transmits the converted message to the recipient.

The newly-created value is set as an unchanged value (i.e., it remains static until a corresponding element vanishes), thereby preventing signaling overhead, compatibility degradation, and resource waste due to modification of the shared service information.

    Abstract: An apparatus, method and system for device management of a mobile communication terminal are provided. Various errors which may occur in the mobile communication terminal are monitored by the mobile communication terminal and are corrected remotely. In the method, the mobile communication terminal receives DiagMon policies from a DM server and stores the DiagMon policies in real-time in which the DiagMon policies are constructed in response to various errors. The mobile communication terminal monitors then the status of the mobile communication terminal according to periods set in the DiagMon policies. When a trouble is detected to occur, the mobile communication terminal collects detailed information related to the occurred trouble and transmits the detailed information to the DM server. The mobile communication terminal receives DiagMon correction information capable of correcting the occurred trouble from the DM server and corrects the trouble, and therefore normalizes the terminal.
