Abstract: A method, terminal and server for controlling a domain transfer operation, are discussed. According to an embodiment, the method includes receiving, by a terminal, a domain transfer request from a network server, the domain transfer request including domain transfer related information; evaluating, by the terminal, the domain transfer related information when deciding whether or not to initiate a domain transfer; determining, by the terminal, whether to initiate the domain transfer of an ongoing call based on the evaluation result; and initiating, by the terminal, the domain transfer of the ongoing call when the evaluated domain transfer related information indicates that the domain transfer of the ongoing call needs to be initiated, wherein the domain transfer is for voice call continuity that is capable of transferring voice calls between a circuit switched (CS) domain and an (IMS) domain.

Abstract: A call connection method is provided. When a terminal is in an IMS unregistered state, information indicating whether to perform a session transfer toward a CS domain is stored in a server during a registration or deregistration process. When receiving a call connection request message over an IMS, if the terminal is in the IMS unregistered state and the information indicates the session transfer, the call transfer toward the CS domain can be performed.

Abstract: A method and device for updating a session in a terminal. The method includes: performing one or more services with one or more entities; and transmitting, to a management server, a capability information update message, including information about one or more changed capabilities, when one or more capabilities change, in order to notify the one or more entities of the one or more changed capabilities. The information about the one or more changed capabilities comprises a parameter indicating a version of the information about the one or more changed capabilities. The method further includes updating a session with the one or more entities by using the information about the one or more changed capabilities.

Abstract: A method and device for selecting a service domain in a system for setting a session for at least one or more services between at least two or more terminals, in which when receiving an INVITE message for setting a voice service related session from an originating terminal, it is decided whether to send the INVITE message to a server or to directly send the INVITE message to a terminating terminal according to user pre-registered information for a domain selection, and then the terminating terminal having received the INVITE message sends to a network a response message including domain selecting information for directly selecting a domain with respect to the voice service related session according to a user's selection.

Abstract: A method and system for notifying updating of terminal capability information for a combination service for simultaneously performing two or more services between first and second users are disclosed. Each terminal recognizes whether or not its terminal capability information has been updated to inform the other terminal accordingly when the first service for the combination service is connected. When a terminal, which has received update indication information informing that the terminal capability information has been updated, request and obtains the updated terminal capability information from the other terminal.

Abstract: A method and mobile terminal for controlling a voice call continuity (VCC) operation, are provided. According to an embodiment, the invention is directed to a method for controlling a voice call continuity (VCC) operation between a mobile terminal and a network, the method comprising: receiving operator policy via an OMA Device Management (DM) method during at least one call or session established between the mobile terminal and the network, the operator policy including domain transfer restriction information; evaluating the domain transfer restriction information of the operator policy; and selectively initiating a domain transfer according to the evaluated domain transfer restriction information of the operator policy, wherein the domain transfer restriction information indicates that a domain transfer from CS domain to IMS domain is restricted or not or a domain transfer from IMS domain to CS domain is restricted or not.

Abstract: A method, terminal and system for controlling VCC functions are discussed. According to an embodiment, the terminal includes a controller to generate a register message including VCC capability information of the terminal, a transmitting unit to transmit the register message including the VCC capability information to the first network server, and a receiving unit to receive a response message to the register message from the first network server, the response message selectively including the VCC capability information.

Abstract: According to the present invention, a service operator can immediately transfer an ongoing session to another network, accordingly it is capable of dealing with cases that a network is required to be temporarily stopped due to repairing/checking for the network, it is required to perform a network load balancing, it is required to more effectively perform the ongoing session, and the policy of the service operator is changed. And, according to the present invention, when the ongoing session is required to be transferred later even though it is not required to be immediately transferred, or session continuity operator policy is changed, it is capable of sending the session continuity operator policy to the terminal and then allowing the terminal to transfer the ongoing session to another network according to determination by itself.

According to an embodiment, the terminal includes a storage unit to store operator policy information and user preference information, the user preference information including domain selection information specifying a user-preferred domain to be used when originating the outgoing call from the terminal, the operator policy information including domain selection information specifying a network-preferred domain to be used when originating the outgoing call from the terminal; and a controller to perform a domain selection for the outgoing call based on the user preference information or the operator policy information, depending on precedence information.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for selecting and managing a mobility protocol between a network and a terminal in a mobile communication system. When the terminal is to setup an IP tunnel for data transmission/reception with the network supporting a plurality of mobility protocols, firstly, the terminal is configured to transmit a list of terminal-supported mobility protocols and/or its preference information (e.g., information about mobility protocol preferred by the terminal) to the network, and secondly, the network is configured to determine (select) a mobility protocol of an IP tunnel for data transmission/reception with the terminal based on the information, thereby enhancing an efficiency of the resource when the IP tunnel is setup between the terminal and the network.

Abstract: A session transfer procedure not for all ongoing multimedia components but for some media components in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the same are provided. In a partial session transfer procedure, a user equipment establishing a first session to transmit a plurality of media components transmits a partial attach request message to a mobility control entity of a network core. The partial attach request message may be an attach request message whose attach type is set to ‘partial handover’. Upon receiving an attach accept message containing information regarding a gateway of the network core from the mobility control entity, a second session is established with the gateway by using the gateway information. After the establishing of the second session, the user equipment does not release the previously established first session.

Abstract: A session mobility support is disclosed. An application server (AS) can accurately recognize a session update by checking a Replace header, a user ID and a media element included in a session invitation message (or an SIP-based INVITE message) received from a UE (User Equipment), to thus guarantee successful mobility of a session. In addition, in order to allow the AS to accurately recognize the session update, the UE first transmits the session invitation message including the Replace header via a PS (Packet Switching domain, and then, after a response to the session invitation message is received, the UE transmits a call setup message (e.g., SETUP message) via a CS (Circuit Switching) domain.
