  • Publication number: 20190320365
Abstract: A target communications device receiving from a source communications device a notification that a user communications device is to be handed over from that source communications device, provides the source communications device with multiple component carrier information for use by the user communications device. The multiple component carrier information includes information indicating to the user communications device which of the multiple component carriers is to be used for initial access. The multiple component carrier information may be component carrier indexes. Communication devices may exchange component carrier indexes during a setup or updating procedure such as an X2 setup or updating procedure.

Abstract: A mobile station which communicates with a base station includes a transceiver configured to receive a downlink control channel, and a controller configured to determine whether C-RNTI is included in the downlink control channel. The controller is further configured to determine that resource allocation in the downlink control channel overrides persistent downlink resource allocation for a Transmission Time Interval (TTI) if the C-RNTI is included in the downlink control channel. The transceiver is further configured to receive a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) transmission by using persistent downlink resources.

  • Publication number: 20190243312
Abstract: A time-to-digital converter (TDC, 110) obtains a Start signal to indicate the start of an event, and a Stop signal whose assertion indicates the stop of the event. The Stop signal can be asserted multiple times due to false indications of the event stop. The TDC continuously monitors the Stop signal to generate a separate digital value (T.j_i) for the duration from the event's starting time to each assertion of the Stop signal. The digital values can be analyzed to select the true duration of the event. Other features and embodiments are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10043177
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are described for sending and receiving messages between a terminal reader and a payment device, such as a credit card. A dynamic signature is calculated on the payment device from an application transaction counter, a terminal unpredictable number, and a transaction amount, and it is sent with an application the locator (AFL) to the reader. The reader then sends a read record command to the payment device to get records associated with the AFL, among other normal processing. While the normal processing is occurring for the transaction, the dynamic signature can be recalculated and compared with that from the payment device in order to assure that nothing has surreptitiously changed the values in the messages.

  • Publication number: 20180183933
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. A first wireless communication device may transmit, to a second wireless communication device and a third wireless communication device, an indication that the first wireless communication device is in a ringing state based at least in part on a first call message associated with the second wireless communication device and a second call message received from the third wireless communication device. The second call message may be received while the first wireless communication device is in the ringing state due to the first call message. The first wireless communication device may selectively proceed based on at least one of the first call message or the second call message in response to user input that indicates whether to accept at least one of the first call message, the second call message, or both the first call message and the second call message.

  • Publication number: 20180169457
Abstract: An assembly for active and resistive joint rehabilitation exercises enables a joint, such as a knee, to flex in a controlled, curvilinear motion, while enabling adjustable resistance. In this manner, the joint practices both resistive exercises and active exercises for strengthening, as well as redeveloping range of motions. A base member with stabilizing bars provides lateral support for the assembly. The base member has a recessed docking region. A bracket detachably attaches in the docking region and joins the rails to base member. In this manner, the rails can detachably release from the base member. A lever and a base handle enable assembly to be moved and tilted. A vehicle comprises wheels that ride the rails while the foot rests therein, so that joint extends and retracts the curvilinear motion. An adjustment member increases and decreases friction coefficient between the wheels and rails for adjustable resistance of curvilinear motions.

  • Publication number: 20180139659
Abstract: A target node includes an S1 interface which includes an interface between the target node and a gateway, an X2 interface which includes an interface between a source node and the target node, and a transceiver which receives data from the S1 interface and data from the X2 interface. The transceiver sends the data from the X2 interface before sending the data from the S1 interface to a mobile device after the mobile device completes a handover from the source node to the target node.

  • Publication number: 20180132142
Abstract: A system is proposed to provide handover in a mobile telecommunications environment, particularly applicable to 3GPP networks, which does not increase signalling overhead but minimises user data loss during handover. In the modified system, PDCP SDUs with Sequence numbers are buffered and retransmitted as necessary. At the time of handover, SDUs not received by the user device are forwarded to the target base station for forward transmission to the UE. The handover procedure is designed to minimise packet loss whilst keeping to a minimum the duplication of packet transmission over the air interface.

  • Publication number: 20180124759
Abstract: A mobile communications system is proposed in which mobile communications devices are arranged to transmit signals to and to receive signals from a base station using one or a subset of available sub-bands, with the base station being configured to move the mobile communications devices between the sub-bands. An anchor sub-band is also provided on which idle mobile communications devices camp until they are moved to one or more other sub-bands in addition to or instead of the anchor sub-band.

  • Patent number: 9942514
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to optimizing power consumption while one or more users are inactive during a video call. More particularly, according to various aspects, a current camera view may be captured at a first user equipment (UE) during a video call with at least a second UE. In response to the first UE determining that a user associated with the first UE is inactive on a camera at the first UE (e.g., when no faces are visible in the current camera view), the first UE may reduce uplink transmissions that are allocated to video content corresponding to the current camera view while the user associated with the first UE is inactive on the camera.
