  • Publication number: 20050085120
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a factory installed wiring guide that guides conductors into position for quality termination and crimp and which provides strain relief (support) for the wires or fibers and the outer sheath of the cable to create a quality cable or sub-cable assembly supporting termination at both ends of the cable. The wiring guide is sized to overcome obstacles and fit into conduits during network wiring installation. The wiring guide may be inserted into a cavity on the backside of a RJ45 female connector, completing the termination of a station cable to a RJ45 female jack. The wiring guide may be installed into a plastic housing creating a RJ45 male connector. The wiring guide may be utilized for multiple connections without damaging or compromising the wiring guide and without the need for cutting the wire from the sub-connector. The wiring guide supports universal attachment to either male or female RJ45 connectors.

  • Publication number: 20040137319
Abstract: A unitary lid for the casing of an electrochemical is described. The lid has a terminal lead ferrule and a fillport formed from a single blank in a machining process. The lid does not require any welding except for securing it to the open end of a casing container. This helps the lid contribute to the cell's volumetric efficiency, which is especially important for cells powering implantable medical device.

  • Patent number: 6718297
Abstract: The present invention classifies an input signal as either voice or data with reduced energy consumption. The present invention includes a frequency estimator and an energy estimator for processing an input signal and a classification unit connected to both the frequency and energy estimators for classifying the input signal. The frequency estimator includes a delay and difference integrator. In operation, the delay receives the input signal and generates a delayed input signal and the difference integrator receives the delayed and input signals and generates a frequency estimate value representing both the estimated central frequency of the input signal and the estimated energy of the input signal. The energy estimator generates an estimate of the energy level of the input signal. The classification unit classifies the input as either voice or data based on a comparison of the frequency and energy estimate values and a data threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20030018567
Abstract: Controlled Payment Numbers (CPNs) which issue as a unique payment number for each transaction uniquely identify the transaction for matching the purchase and payment information. The issuance of the CPN is controlled by business rules which are designed to and effectively restrict the use of the CPN, such that if a user exceed his authorization, a CPN is not issued. The business rules are set-up according to a heirarchy of users. Further, a declining balance CPN is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20020163577
Abstract: A video recording system (10) monitoring a scene to detect occurrence of an event within the scene. A camera (C1) monitors the scene and provides a video signal representative of the scene. A sensor (C2) senses movement within a portion of the observed scene and provides a signal indicative of the movement. A processor (12) connected to the camera and sensor determines if there is any movement within the scene; and if there is, the portion of the scene where it occurred based upon the signals received from the camera and sensor. The processor produces a signal indicative of the event and the portion of the scene where it occurs. A digital video recorder (18) connected to the processor now records the scene and the signal indicative of the occurrence of the event.

  • Patent number: 6463682
Abstract: A golf cleat of the type having a base member and a plurality of outwardly angled traction teeth with the traction teeth having multifaceted design, and a mounting arrangement on the underside of the base member. The mounting arrangement includes a mounting stud having a multi-start thread and at least one locking post which coact with annular locking formations in the receptacle to thereby provide a stud having a multi-start thread complementary to the multi-start thread of the socket or receptacle whereby a simple quarter-turn of the cleat is fitted in its place with the locking formations on the thread engaged with the quadrant post to retain the cleat in the socket.

  • Patent number: 6437547
Abstract: A board mountable power supply module is described. The power supply module includes a power train for converting an input voltage into a regulated output voltage and a controller operable to control the power train. The power train is connected to the input and output voltages through an input voltage pin, an output voltage pin and a common pin. The controller includes a multifunction control pin, which allows for disabling the power supply module and for trimming the output voltage. Additionally, two or more power supply modules can be connected in parallel to form a power supply that is capable of meeting increased load current requirements. Each of the multifunction control pins in the power supply is electrically connected together to improve current sharing between modules by reducing internal variances between modules.
