    Abstract: A fiber optic cassette including a body defining a front and an opposite rear and an enclosed interior. A cable entry location is defined in the body for a cable to enter the interior of the cassette. The cable which enters at the cable entry location is attached to the cassette body and the fibers are extended into the cassette body and form terminations at connectors. The connectors are connected to adapters located at the front of the cassette. A front side of the adapters defines termination locations for cables to be connected to the fibers connected at the rear of the adapters. A cable including a jacket, a strength member, and fibers enters the cassette. The strength member is crimped to a crimp tube and is mounted to the cassette body, allowing the fibers to extend past the crimp tube into the interior of the cassette body. A strain relief boot is provided at the cable entry location.

A method for forming the CMC article is disclosed including wicking a melt infiltration agent into the article through the wicking portion into the interior ply structure along the longitudinal CMC ply.

    Abstract: A method includes one or more processors of an electronic device receiving signals from multiple sensors located along an edge of the device. The signals are received in response to external contact being provided to the edge of the device. At least one processor determines a distribution of forces applied to the sensors based on the input signals. Based on the determined distribution of forces, the processor determines: i) a location of the external contact that is offset from a location of each of the multiple sensors, and ii) a magnitude of the force of the external contact. The processor detects whether sensing criteria has been satisfied based on an analysis of: i) the location of the external contact and ii) the magnitude of the force of the external contact. Responsive to detecting that sensing criteria has been satisfied, the processor executes a user input action.

    Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for improving the quality of images, such as images used in medical diagnosis. In a first technique, sinogram data, intermediate volumes, and transmission CT-based attenuation correction files are created. Scatter correction is performed, and a scatter correction map is created. Misregistration offsets are measured, and a correction registration mask is created using volume reprojection. The two masks are combined and applied to create the enhanced image data. In a second technique, a difference may be determined for each parent and child pixel pair, and an average difference may be determined for all pairs. For each pair which is under the average difference, the child may be eliminated and replaced with a new child. This process may be iteratively repeated, with the image data being incrementally enhanced with each iteration. For both techniques, the enhanced image data may be communicated to an interpretive application for display.
