  • Patent number: 10299114
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing external bump-in-the-wire cryptographic capability to a legacy radio (which may or may not include embedded cryptography) includes an appliqué couplable to the legacy radio and to an intercom, handset, or other user device. The appliqué extracts and stores in memory radio status information from the legacy radio (channel information, cryptographic instructions, alarm conditions) by intercepting control signals, polling the legacy radio, or listening in on channels used by the legacy radio. If TSVCIS 2.1 or CMI-compatible encryption is required, the appliqué may encrypt or decrypt a message with the appropriate cryptographic keys based on the extracted radio status information. The appliqué may include a bump-in-the-wire device or a bump-in-the-connector device directly couplable to an intercom port of a vehicular mounted SINCGARS legacy radio.

  • Publication number: 20190133090
Abstract: A lawn mower plow or accessory warning device for diverting and saving honey bees and other endangered insects. The device components include a plate for removably securing the warning device to the mower deck; a manner for removably connecting and securing the plate to the deck; a warning emitter; and a way for securing a warning emitter to the plate Alternative mechanical designs and light, sound, electro-magnetic force and spray devices are shown as alternative embodiments. The warning device alerts the pollinating bees of the oncoming mower so the bees can survive by flying away and averting their demise by the mower. Alternative devices for warning are sound, light, smoke, spray and Electro Magnetic force/pulse generators placed with the mowers.

  • Publication number: 20190136787
Abstract: A fuel delivery system for an engine is provided. The fuel delivery system includes a fuel rail, a pressure sensor, a relief valve, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a fuel rail pressure, identify exceeding of the fuel rail pressure beyond a first threshold, identify the fuel rail pressure drop below a second threshold, and initiate a counter for a first predefined amount of time accordingly. The controller is also configured to identify if the fuel rail pressure drops below a third threshold within the first predefined amount of time, and identify if the fuel rail pressure remains below the third threshold for at least a second predefined amount of time. The controller is further configured to determine an open status of the relief valve based, at least in part, on the identification.

  • Publication number: 20190094339
Abstract: A first multitude of frequency elements between a first lower frequency and a first upper frequency; and a second multitude of frequency elements between a second lower frequency and a second upper frequency are transmitted. The second lower frequency and the second upper are shifted from the first upper frequency by the first delta, respectively, by a delta frequency. A return signal is split into: a first return signal comprising a first in-phase component and a first quadrature phase component; and a second return signal comprising a second in-phase component and a second quadrature phase component. A combined return signal is generated by combining the first return signal and the second return signal phase shifted by the first delta frequency. A probability of a potential target is determined when the combined return signal exceeds a threshold.

  • Patent number: 10212752
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concepts disclosed herein are directed to systems and methods for operating in multiple transmissions modes for satellite communications. A controller of a radio device may set a transmission mode of a single transceiver chain to a first communications protocol. The single transceiver chain may communicate with a satellite antenna using the first communications protocol. The controller may modify the transmission mode of the single transceiver chain from the first communications protocol to a second communications protocol. The controller may maintain synchronization for the first communications protocol. The single transceiver chain may transmit a first signal to the satellite using the second communications protocol, responsive to modifying the transmission mode. The single transceiver chain may simultaneously receive a second signal using the first communications protocol and the synchronization, and a third signal using the second communications protocol.

  • Patent number: 10183273
Abstract: Absorbent articles having a cyclodextrin complex of one or more odor controlling organic compounds wherein the cyclodextrin is a substituted cyclodextrin (wherein the H atom of OH groups in positions 2, 3 and 6 is partially or entirely replaced by a substituent —R) having a substitution degree (DS) of 0.4 or more —R substituents per molecule of cyclodextrin and wherein substitution in position 2 is 20% or above, in position 6 is 20% or above and in position 3 is 50% or below. Cyclodextrin complexes of this type release the odor controlling organic compound much faster and in more complete manner than non-substituted or differently substituted cyclodextrin complexes thus the odor control efficacy is improved.

  • Patent number: 10175342
Abstract: A first frequency agile waveform and additional frequency agile signal waveform(s) having in-phase and a quadrature phase components, each shifted by a different delta frequency, are transmitted in the direction of a possible dispersive target. Return signal(s) each comprising an in-phase component and a quadrature phase component associated with each of the frequency agile waveform(s) are received. The return signal(s) associated with the frequency agile signal waveform(s) are phase shifted by their respective delta frequenc(ies). A combined return signal is generated by combining the first return signal and the additional phase shifted return signal(s). A probability of a potential target is determined when the combined return signal exceeds a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20180242750
Abstract: A portable head support device that when located beneath the chin and resting on the thighs of a person when in a sitting position, provides a comfortable level of support enabling the user to sleep while in a sitting position. The pillow is a single unit, with the top surface shaped to gently cradle the chin and/or cheek of the user, such as forming a V-shape or U-shape. The bottom surface is flat or shaped to conform to the thighs. The “twist-hold” pocket has a revolutionary shape that gently grips each hand of the user so that when the user falls asleep, the pillow can remain in place without the need for additional straps or mechanisms to hold the pillow in place as the user is effectively holding the pillow with their arms without needing to consciously hold on to it since the pillow grips the hands.
