Patent number: 11835352Abstract: Presented are techniques of identifying, processing and displaying data point clusters associated with map information in an efficient manner. Methods and systems are disclosed which process map information to identify clusters of requested data points for display, based on iterative clustering and filtering of the data points. Methods and systems are also disclosed which generate polygons representing the clusters. The amount of data to be processed and/or displayed can be reduced, without loss of any associated information content in a displayed map.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2019Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Steve Chien, Mark Yinan Li, Marc Andreas Schaub, Benjamin James Anderson, James Aspinall, Zhou Bailiang, Ruwen Hess

Publication number: 20230332941Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for computing an object's weight or the quantity of items within the object based on activations of different robot actuators used in retrieving the object from a storage location. Specifically, the robot may activate one or more actuators during retrieval of an object, may obtain a measurement in response to activating a particular actuator, and may derive a weight of the object based on the measurement by converting the measurement from a first range of values that are associated with activations of the particular actuator to a second range of values that are disassociated with activations of the particular actuator. The robot may then modify its operation in response to the weight that is derived for the object matching or being mismatched to an expected or last tracked weight.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2022Publication date: October 19, 2023Applicant: inVia Robotics, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Ttraverso, James Anderson, Lior Elazary, Randolph Charles Voorhies, Daniel Frank Parks, II

The robot may include a motorized base to move about a first plane, a lift that raises and lowers a dispensing receptacle atop the lift about a second plane, and one or more actuators that modify a position of the dispensing receptacle from an upright position to a first tilted position in which the dispensing receptacle is tilted towards a first side of the robot and to a second tilted position in which the dispensing receptacle is tilted towards an opposite second side of the robot. The robot may receive and carry items when the dispensing receptacle is in the upright position, and may dispense the items to a destination on either side of the robot by tilting the dispensing receptacle to the first tilted position or the second tilted position.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2022Publication date: October 19, 2023Applicant: inVia Robotics, Inc.Inventors: Lior Elazary, Joseph Traverso, James Anderson, Randolph Charles Voorhies, Daniel Frank Parks, II

Publication number: 20230306416Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods, apparatuses, computer readable media and systems for providing, along with a token, a token assurance level and data used to generate the token assurance level. At the time a token is issued, one or more Identification and Verification (ID&V) methods may be performed to ensure that the token is replacing a PAN that was legitimately used by a token requestor. A token assurance level may be assigned to a given token in light of the type of ID&V that is performed and the entity performing the ID&V. Different ID&Vs may result in different token assurance levels. An issuer may wish to know the level of assurance and the data used in generating the level of assurance associated with a token prior to authorizing a payment transaction that uses the token.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Applicants: Visa International Service Association, Mastercard International IncorporatedInventors: Glenn Leon Powell, John F. Publication number: 20230235398Abstract: A method for determining a subject's risk for developing chronic kidney disease (CKD) combined with determining a subject's pharmacogenomic (PGX) profile is described. The method involves obtaining a sample of genetic material from the subject. The genetic material is amplified using primers specific for the genes underlying CKD and PGX. The DNA sequence of the amplified genetic material is determined and compared with the human reference genome sequence. One or more DNA sequence alterations in the amplified genetic material not present in the human reference genome sequence determines the PGX profile of the subject and may indicate that the subject is at risk for developing CKD.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2022Publication date: July 27, 2023Applicant: Machaon Diagnostics, Inc.Inventors: James S. Patent number: 11657304Abstract: A resource-efficient technique is described for producing and utilizing a set of trained embeddings. With respect to its training phase, the technique receives a group of sparsely-expressed training examples of high dimensionality. The technique processes the training examples using a distributed training framework of computing devices. With respect to its inference stage, the technique draws on the embeddings produced by the training framework. But in one implementation, the inference-stage processing applies a different prediction function than that used by the training framework. One implementation of interference-stage processing involves determining a distance between a query embedding and a candidate item embedding, where each such embedding is obtained or derived from the trained embeddings produced by the training framework. Another manifestation of inference-stage processing involves adjusting click counts based on identified relations among items embeddings.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2020Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Vladislav Mokeev, Skyler James Anderson
