  • Publication number: 20180045046
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and program product to determine distribution of a plurality of components amongst a plurality of phases for a multi-component, multi-phase system including a multi-component, multi-phase fluid. A plurality of phase boundaries of the multi-component, multi-phase fluid and a vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) are determined based on a plurality of geophysical parameters associated with an oilfield and using one or more computer processors, including by determining hydrocarbon partitioning in a water phase, based in part on applying empirical equilibrium multi-phase mole fraction ratios (K-values) of the multi-component, multi-phase system that are functions of temperature and pressure only. In addition, an amount of at least one fluid component distributed in a plurality of phases of the multi-component, multi-phase system is predicted by solving a set of flash equations with the one or more computer processors based on the plurality of phase boundaries.

  • Publication number: 20170333661
Abstract: An expiratory, vibratory therapy device (100, 200 300, 400) includes a compliance meter (104, 204, 304, 404) having a cylinder (110, 210, 310, 410) with a piston (111, 211, 411) movable along its length. The piston is urged by a spring (116, 226) to one end of the cylinder. The opposite end of the cylinder has an air inlet (120, 123, 219) normally closed by a springloaded occluder (129). The occluder (129) is moved to open the air inlet when the patient exhales in the prescribed manner. This allows some air to enter the cylinder and enables the piston to be displaced. The piston is coupled to a flag (106, 206, 306, 406) visible to the patient. When the correct number of prescribed breaths have been made the piston displaces the flag to indicate completion of the therapy.

  • Publication number: 20170122921
Abstract: One or more inexpensive electrochemical gas sensors are paired with a selective ozone sensor. Ozone in ambient air influences the output signals of the electrochemical gas sensors. The unwanted ozone effects are removed from the output signals of the electrochemical gas sensors by comparing them with the selective ozone sensor output signals. The selective ozone sensor signals are removed from and/or added to output signals from the electrochemical gas sensors. True indications of concentrations of the sensed gases in the ambient air result from the compensation for ozone interference.

  • Patent number: 9570918
Abstract: A wireless power transfer system is disclosed that allows for directed power distribution. A power station that transmits the power can also transmit a distribution instruction that authorizes and/or prohibits various systems/components within a receiver device to receive power. A manager and power router within the receiver device route the power as directed by the distribution instruction. When multiple components/systems are authorized to receive the power, the receiver device can monitor power need and route as needed between authorized components/systems. In addition, the receiver device can act as a transmitter to wireless flash power to another device. The flash consists of bursting a large amount of power over a relatively short time. Several constraints, configurations, and considerations are required to perform this function.

  • Patent number: 9565202
Abstract: Techniques for detecting exfiltration content are described herein. According to one embodiment, a malicious content suspect is executed within a virtual machine that simulates a target operating environment associated with the malicious content suspect. A packet inspection is performed on outbound network traffic initiated by the malicious content suspect to determine whether the outbound network traffic matches a predetermined network traffic pattern. An alert is generated indicating that the malicious content suspect should be declared as malicious, in response to determining that the outbound network traffic matches the predetermined network traffic pattern.

  • Patent number: 9392295
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for adaptable media processing architectures. In one example, among others, an adaptable coding architecture for servicing media streams includes media processing resources and a controller that supports a first media stream by placing media processing pipeline resources in a single stream configuration and that causes a transition from the single stream configuration to a multiple stream configuration of the media processing resources. For example, the transition may be made to simultaneously support encoding or decoding another media stream. In another example, a device includes media processing resources and a controller that causes an adaptive reconfiguration of media processing resources to support simultaneous coding related processing of both a new media stream and at least one ongoing media stream, which may cause a reallocation of at least a part of the media processing resources from an ongoing media stream to the new media stream.

  • Patent number: 9357256
Abstract: Certain aspects of the invention may be found in a method and system for providing media in a communication network and may comprise generating a request from a first location to receive media from a non-broadcast channel provider. Payment and/or authorization information may be provided to the non-broadcast channel provider and the media transferred from a storage location other than the non-broadcast channel provider to the first location. A representation of the received media may be presented in a media guide and/or a channel guide at the first location and the received media may be consumed at the first location. The method may further comprise the step of requesting that the received media be transferred from the storage location to a second location. An identifier of the second location may be transferred to the non-broadcast channel provider so that media may be transferred to the second location.
