Abstract: The invention provides a new and distinct variety of almond tree, named Bennett-Hickman, substantially as described and illustrated herein, which is somewhat similar to the ‘Nonpareil’ almond tree (unpatented), but which is distinguishable therefrom by possessing a heavier bloom, an extended bloom period, greener foliage that is retained for a longer duration of time, a sweeter kernel, with rare doubles, and a harvest period that runs approximately 14 days later than Nonpareil.

Abstract: Secure communication of information in a communication network may comprise acquiring a security code from a second communication device by a first communication device and receiving media containing the security code such as a pin code from the first communication device. The security code may be translated into an IP address corresponding to the second communication device. The received media may be routed to the second communication device based on the IP address of the second communication device. In this regard, the IP address of the second communication device remains anonymous or unknown to the first communication device. A duration for which the security code is valid may be limited to a specific time period and/or for a particular number of uses. Notwithstanding, the security code may be acquired out-of-band.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for determining the location, composition and concentration of a hydrocarbon containing plume in environmental seawater. These systems and methods disclosed use multiple complex admittance measurements from seawater in order to identify the contents, concentration, and location of the hydrocarbon containing plume. In preferred variations system includes a sensor array that substantially simultaneously records plume location, depth, and composition.

The network management server determines multiple routes for delivering content associated with the requested service based on a provisioning profile for the user device. Content associated with the requested service is then delivered via the determined multiple routes. The provisioning profile is updated and includes preferred service types, desired QoS for one or more services, client account information, and/or client credit verification information. The network management server manages the delivery of the content associated with the requested service via the determined multiple routes. The content includes packets that are the same, which are communicated or delivered simultaneously via the determined multiple routes. The network management server allocates one or more of the determined multiple routes for delivering the content based on priorities associated with the routes.

The wireless telephone includes a first microphone, a second microphone, and a signal processor. The first microphone outputs a first audio signal, the first audio signal comprising a voice component and a background noise component. The second microphone outputs a second audio signal. The signal processor increases a ratio of the voice component to the noise component of the first audio signal based on the content of at least one of the first audio signal and the second audio signal to produce a third audio signal.

Abstract: A software system, such as an operating system, that has multiple parts can be deployed to a computing device incrementally, rather than all at once. The software system self-adapts to the user's needs by installing and removing system extensions automatically without user intervention. A core part of the software system is deployed in the computing device, and system extensions are delivered to the computing device when needed. The software system is aware of the system extensions, so they appear to be part of the system, even though they have not yet been downloaded. The system extensions can be delivered to the computing system on demand or over time during idle times of the computing device. Unused system extensions can be removed from the computing device, and can be downloaded again when next needed.

Abstract: A channel selection canvas for display on a video display device is disclosed. The video display device can be a television, a laptop computer, or personal digital assistant device. The channel selection canvas allows a user to preview and choose video signals to be watched. The channel selection canvas displays a set of television channel video thumbnails, which can be full motion video, slow motion video or sampled video snapshots. A channel selection canvas can also display video thumbnails for security cameras, baby monitors, video phones and the like. A channel selection canvas generator that generates channel selection canvases is also disclosed. The channel selection canvas generator can reside within a television, set top box or similar video processing device.

Abstract: A wireless power transfer system is disclosed that allows for directed power distribution. A power station that transmits the power can also transmit a distribution instruction that authorizes and/or prohibits various systems/components within a receiver device to receive power. A manager and power router within the receiver device route the power as directed by the distribution instruction. When multiple components/systems are authorized to receive the power, the receiver device can monitor power need and route as needed between authorized components/systems. in addition, the receiver device can act as a transmitter to wireless flash power to another device. The flash consists of bursting a large amount of power over a relatively short time. Several constraints, configurations, and considerations are required to perform this function.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling a wireless backhaul network between access points (APs) in a wireless network are provided. In an embodiment, the wireless backhaul network is enabled using a Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radio access technology (RAT). In another embodiment, the wireless backhaul network is established using the same RAT as used by the APs to serve user devices, and can utilize the same time and frequency resources used for user communication.

One or more content categories associated with the detected available media may be identified and the indication of the different storage locations may be associated with one or more of the content categories. Providers of media and/or storage devices at the different storage locations may be queried for available media and the media acquired accordingly. The constructed display may be represented as a graphical user interface (GUI) and displayed on the television screen.

The global positioning group support server may provide navigation information of global positioning groups in the vicinity of the client device based on the received GNSS address. The GNSS address of the client device may be an inherent GNSS address or a GNSS address of a neighboring client device. Client devices are registered and divided into global positioning groups at a global positioning group support server based on corresponding GNSS addresses. A particular client device may be added or removed to or from a given global positioning group. Uni- and bi-directional association tracking within a determined time window is enabled based on corresponding GNSS addresses. Phantom GNSS moving is enabled via the association tracking.

The communication of information in a distributed media network may include detecting availability of new media, data and/or service and migrating the newly available media, data and/or service to at least a first media processing system within the distributed media network. If the stored media, data and/or service is to be processed, then the media, data and/or service may be migrated to a media view and/or a channel view associated with a media processing system. If the newly available migrated media, data and/or service is to be pushed, then the migrated media, data and/or service may be pushed to a second media processing system and/or a personal computer coupled to the media exchange network.

Under control of the television, the media may be transferred from a first location to at least one media peripheral located at a second location. At least one command may be received that may effectuate the transfer of media from the first location to the second location. Abstract: A wireless communication device is disclosed that is capable of utilizing bandwidth outside of its allocated bandwidth in order to maximize frequency coverage. The allocated band is separate from a neighboring band by a guard band. The device performs a scan of the neighboring band in order to determine an activity level within the neighboring band. Based on the determined activity level, the device expands its communication frequency range to include the guard band and/or the neighboring band. Once expanded, the device periodically rescans the neighboring band in order to determine whether the device must contract its frequency band out of the expanded area. The device can also receive activity level information of the neighboring band from a server via a common network infrastructure, and can coordinate expansion with other devices.
