  • Patent number: 4189052
Abstract: A container adapted to stack upon the endwalls of an identically oriented identical container, to partially nest within the endwalls of a reversely oriented identical container, and to have improved ability to resist the outward flexing of the endwalls that tends to occur due to the weight resting upon a container which is partially nested in the inventive container.

  • Patent number: 4178468
Abstract: The following specification describes a feeder duct post assembly including a conduit for extending electrical connections from above a suspended ceiling to an outlet receptacle located between a pair of spaced barrier walls in the post. An upper wall on the conduit forms a lower wall of a junction box at the upper end of the post and defines a passage for extending communication wiring through the post to an outlet passage located above the outlet receptacle and barrier walls. The junction box has a cover movable between an open and closed positions, while retained on the box to enable wiring of the junction box. A boot on the lower end of the post optionally receives a plate having prongs to secure the post to carpeting or receives a pad or plate having an adhesive coat to secure the post to smooth flooring.

  • Patent number: 4174248
Abstract: In an apparatus for connecting a lateral pipe to a main pipe, first and second pipe holding means are provided which are connected by means to move one of the pipe holding means towards the other. The pipe holding means for holding the lateral pipe has a guiding sleeve, which at one of its ends has essentially the configuration of the outer surface of the main pipe. The pipes are connected by placing the lateral pipe into said guiding sleeve, heating the end of the lateral pipe that is shaped to fit onto the outside of the main pipe, heating the main pipe at least in the area where the lateral pipe is contacting the main pipe and bringing the two heated areas in firm contact.

  • Patent number: 4160134
Abstract: An accurate, low cost and stable digital decibel indicating level meter having a wide amplitude and frequency range in decibels is described having a dynamic range of greater than 80 decibels with high decibel linearity over an extended decibel range. A dual slope integration technique minimizes drift and simplifies calibration, and uses a voltage reference which is compared to an exponentially decaying integration voltage such that when a time duration elapses from the beginning of the discharge to the time when the reference and discharge voltages are equal, the time duration is logarithmically proportional to the voltage being measured. A counter is enabled to provide a digital indication of the signal level measured in decibels, which indication is stored in a latch circuit displayed or coupled out.

  • Patent number: 4156710
Abstract: A method of forming a flange on a thermoplastic pipe wherein the end of the pipe is heated, the wall of the pipe is turned back on itself and the turned-back portion is turned outwardly to form a flange.

  • Patent number: 4106625
Abstract: A stack and cross nest unitary molded tray is designed so that it will also stack and cross nest interchangeably with a tray having rod members for stacking.

  • Patent number: 4106623
Abstract: A three-level stacking container adapted to stack within a lower container of like construction in a low-level stack position or an intermediate-stack position, or stack on said lower container in a high-stack position, depending upon the orientation of said upper container with respect to said lower container. Opposing first and second wall structures of said container comprise bar members which extend in an upwardly direction between a lower border flange and an upper rim. Said bar members are arranged such that the bar members of an upper container parallel the bar members of a lower container when said upper container is stacked within said lower container.

  • Patent number: 4102453
Abstract: A nesting and stacking container adapted to nest within a like oriented lower container of like construction, and also adapted to stack on a said lower container in a "high-stack" position without rotating the upper container with respect to the lower container. In a preferred embodiment a said upper container can also be stacked within a said lower container at an "intermediate-stack" position without rotating the upper container with respect to the lower container. Thus, in the preferred embodiments, a three-position container is provided.
