  • Patent number: 9727940
Abstract: A computer based system for unobscuring and/or unconstraining demand is disclosed. Via use of the system, actual airline seat bookings may be restated in an unobscured and/or unconstrained form, facilitating improved demand forecasts for subsequent seat bookings. In this manner, seat protects may be better allocated to align with actual demand, thus increasing revenue.

  • Patent number: 9680925
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to route network traffic using tiered affinity-based message routing are disclosed herein. An example method to select a destination endpoint for a message includes receiving a rule from a service provider, the rule specifying a set of destination endpoints associated with the service provider and the rule specifying a set of criteria to be used to select one of the destination endpoints for a message containing a data request. The method also includes sending the rule to a client service to be used to select the destination endpoint for the message based on a characteristic of the requested data.

  • Publication number: 20170067210
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to an artificial paver comprising a physical member adapted to have a structure shape of a paver and located on the top surface of a paving area. The physical member may be made of a two-component polyurethane material, and the two-component material may be formulated to characterize the artificial paver to be softer than a stone or concrete paving object and to exhibit higher shock absorbing properties than the stone or concrete paving object. A method for manufacturing the artificial paver is also contemplated. The method may comprise pouring the two-component polyurethane material into molds, allowing the two-component polyurethane material in the molds to cure, demolding the cured two-component polyurethane material, and applying an UV stable polyurethane and slip-resistant coating to a surface of the demolded two-component polyurethane material.

  • Patent number: 8857844
Abstract: A transport device for a user of a wheel chair to access a pool or a lower surface that the wheel chair rests upon, the device employing a frame, a lift mechanism, gearing to operate the lift mechanism, drive wheels, stabilizing wheels, locking devices, clamping device, handle grips and holding pads. The transport device is entered by a wheel chair user from a site away from a pool. The user moves the transport device near to an edge of a pool. The lock device is deployed and the lift mechanism is operable by the user of the transport device. The lift mechanism raises and lowers the user to the surface of the pool edge. A rest pad can be deployed under the seat portion. The device to hold the transport device at or near the edge of the pool or at a surface that the wheel chair rests upon has a pivotable clamp and/or stop/hold pads under the handle grips.

  • Publication number: 20140257882
Abstract: A computer based system for remapping prime class seat bookings is disclosed. The system remaps prime class bookings a floor class, or if the floor class is closed, into a higher, displacement class. Via remapping, airline systems, such as inventory management systems, revenue management systems, and the like, may better account for the true value of prime class bookings.

  • Publication number: 20140257881
Abstract: A computer based system for fare adjustment is disclosed. For a particular airline fare class, the system evaluates the financial impact of opening or closing the class, for example taking into account both stimulation effects and dilution effects. Via use of an exemplary fare adjustment system, decision-makers may increase revenues (and/or decrease losses) associated with airline fare class openings and closings.

  • Patent number: 8795457
Abstract: A fabrication method of forming a thermoplastic composite laminate material with tailored and varying thickness in a continuous process. This process utilizes automated equipment or hand lay-up to collate parts or components into a multi-layer stack. Each stack contains all plies, including ply build-up areas, tacked in the proper location to maintain orientation and location. The consolidation tooling contains all necessary part features and is coordinated to the customized multiple ply stacks to form a single integrated thermoplastic composite laminate potentially having areas of differing thickness from these multiple ply stacks.

  • Patent number: 8645173
Abstract: A computer based system for maximizing revenue by determining an optimal quantity of a product to be sold is disclosed. The system determines the optimal number of seats to be sold for a flight based upon the flight's capacity and forecasted costs associated with the flight. The forecasting is based upon probabilistic distribution models takes into account passenger itinerary data, passenger and market historical data, whether a passenger has flown on a previous leg of an itinerary, the ripple denied boarding effect of reaccommodating a denied passenger. The system evaluates the potential effect of double selling a unit of inventory (e.g., seats). Downstream inventory control, revenue management and reservations systems may use the optimization data to affect the operation of the airline.

  • Patent number: 8516982
Abstract: A camshaft phaser includes a housing with a harmonic gear drive unit disposed therein. The harmonic gear drive unit includes a circular spline and a dynamic spline, a flexspline disposed radially within the circular spline and the dynamic spline, a wave generator disposed radially within the flexspline, and a rotational actuator connectable to the wave generator. One of the circular spline and the dynamic spline is fixed to the housing. A hub is rotatably disposed radially within the housing and attachable to the camshaft and fixed to the other of the circular spline and the dynamic spline. An anti-rotation means is provided for temporarily fixing the circular spline to the dynamic spline in order to prevent relative rotation therebetween when the hub is being attached to the camshaft. The anti-rotation means prevents damage to the harmonic gear drive unit while the camshaft phaser is being installed onto the camshaft.
