  • Patent number: 9729426
Abstract: A method and system that takes advantage of processes that are efficient for determining the topology of small to medium size networks to determine individual network topologies for such networks, and then merges these individual topologies into a consolidated topology for the entire network. Each of the processes that determines the topology of the smaller networks provides the determined network topology, as well as a list of factors that may be relevant in the determination of how the given topology might be attached to any other given topology, such as the identification of a node that is not included in the given topology, or other indications of external connections. The merging process is configured to substantially restrict its analysis to these factors, thereby limiting the extent, and therefore the time consumed, by this stitching and merging process.

  • Patent number: 9713141
Abstract: The capacity of a cellular wireless system is increased by operation of base stations or base station sectors arranged to re-use radio resource elements that are used by neighboring base stations or base station sectors, in conjunction with operation of relay stations, which are similarly arranged to re-use radio resource elements used by neighboring relay stations, and where the radio resource elements re-used by the relay stations are different to those used by the base stations. The relay stations provide coverage, particularly in the areas at the boundaries between the areas of coverage of base stations that suffer from interference between signals transmitted from the respective base stations. In addition, the relay stations generally increase the average available carrier to interference ratio compared with a system in which base stations alone are deployed.

  • Publication number: 20170131977
Abstract: Provided herein are various systems, methods and architectures for enabling a microcontroller manufacturer to provide certain modification and configuration functionality to product vendors, while still maintaining the level of control needed to ensure that a product vendor does not inadvertently (or otherwise) create code that causes the microcontroller to not work properly. In one embodiment, this functionality can be performed through the steps of displaying a set of microcontroller properties that are available for configuration, receiving user information regarding a first value corresponding to a first microcontroller property, determining whether the user information results in a valid microcontroller configuration, and in response to determining that the user information results in a valid microcontroller configuration, generating compiled code for the microcontroller.

  • Publication number: 20170103192
Abstract: A method and apparatus for secure code delivery. In one embodiment the method is implemented on a computer system, and includes reading an access privilege from a first set of access privileges, wherein the first set of access privileges corresponds to a first file that comprises first encrypted source code. The first encrypted source code is decrypted to produce first decrypted source code. A determination is made as to whether the first access privilege is set to a first state or a second state. If the first access privilege is set to the first state, a first software development tool is permitted to access and process the first decrypted source code. If the first access privilege is set to a second state, the first software development tool is denied access to decrypted source code.

  • Publication number: 20160304217
Abstract: The disclosed inventions include personal Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and UAV universal docking ports “docking ports” to be incorporated into and/or attached to headwear, including helmets, hard hats and hats and face masks, as well as footwear including boots and shoes, clothing and outerwear, devices, gear and equipment, land, air, water and space vehicles, buildings, wireless towers and other mobile or stationary objects and surfaces referred to collectively as “docking stations”. A docking station may have one or more docking ports for docking, networking and charging or refueling compact personal UAVs, and for providing data communications between said UAVs and other electronic devices that remain with the person while the UAV is in flight or driving or landed on terrain. Said docking ports may also incorporate wireless power transmission for remote wireless charging of one or more UAV's.

  • Publication number: 20160245317
Abstract: The device utilizes a thruster cylinder driven by a enlarged knob and terminating in a thruster plate to clamp to a support. Provision is made to attach a device to the clamp through a rotating index wheel which can lock the device by receiving a tang from a trigger lever at a selected increment of rotation. A second embodiment has two index wheels so that the attached device can be displaced in one of four directions to avoid conflict with other devices on the same support. The second axis is normally used to return a displaced device to an upright orientation.

  • Publication number: 20160207183
Abstract: Tool for extracting annular carbon face seal from bore of equipment which seal is installed. Tool has extraction-tube for insertion into bore at entrance so, when extraction-tube is fully inserted into bore, multi-legged collet formed at distal-end of extraction-tube located within seal and proximal-end of extraction-tube accessible at entrance of bore. Tool has elongate-member extending along central passage of extraction-tube. Wedge element provided at distal-end of elongate-member located at mouth of collet. Proximal-end of elongate-member accessible at proximal-end of extraction-tube. Tool has support for reacting axial extraction force applied to extraction-tube to equipment. Tool has first-actuator at proximal-end of elongate-member. Tool configured so first-actuator causes wedge element to be pulled into collet, thereby expanding collet and causing to grip inner surface of seal.

  • Publication number: 20160173699
Abstract: A method, system, and program for billing for service provided to destination device according to the calling plan of the individual receiving the call. An authenticated identity for a callee answering a call placed to a destination device is received at an intermediary device. The intermediary device then accesses a billing plan for the authenticated identity of the callee and loads the billing plan for specifying charges for the call, such that telephone service billed to the callee is accessible at multiple destination devices.

  • Patent number: 9294417
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses are provided for transmitting and receiving space-time block coded data in a wireless communications system with co-operative relays. A source node transmits RF signals representing first and second sets of data symbols in respective first and second channels (in time frequency code or any combination) of a wireless communications system, the first and second sets of data symbols being for transmission from separate antennas respectively according to a space-time block code. A relay node receives the RF signals representing the first set of data symbols in the first channel and transmits RF signals representing the first set of data symbols in the second channel. A destination node received the RF signals representing the second set of data symbols from the source node and the RF signals representing the first set of data symbols from the relay node.
