  • Patent number: 11008927
Abstract: A condensation cooling system for motor vehicles is presented. The system, in principal part, comprises a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger for circulating a first coolant, a coolant tank for circulating a second coolant, and a condensing panel or surface, where the condensing panel is part of the coolant tank and also functions as a vehicle body panel. These components are arranged in two circuits, i.e. an engine cooling circuit in which a first coolant is circulated and a vapor condensing circuit in which a second coolant is circulated. The two cooling circuits are interconnected by the coolant tank where the heat exchanger is positioned within the coolant tank such that it is immersed in the second coolant. The coolant tank may also be equipped with pressure release valves, electric fans and diffuser plates to control pressure and manage air and vapor flow internally within the tank.

  • Publication number: 20200398946
Abstract: One or more embodiments disclosed herein relate generally to flotation devices, and more specifically to modular flotation devices with a mechanism to removably attach to other modular devices. In one embodiments, an apparatus includes a first flotation module and a first connector coupled to the first flotation module. The first connector has a first end portion, a second end portion and a sidewall extended from the first end portion to the second end portion. The sidewall defines a plurality of circumferentially defined stepped portions configured to matingly engage a second connector of a second flotation module to couple the first flotation module to the second flotation module. The first connector is selectively operative as one of a female connector or a male connector with respect to the second connector.

  • Publication number: 20200386742
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a cell culturing system, and specifically to a three-dimensional cell culturing system for neuronal cells that promotes both structural and functional characteristics that mimic those of in vivo peripheral fibers, including cell myelination. Using a dual hydrogel construct and spheroids comprising neuronal cells, the present disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for in vitro spatially-controlled, three-dimensional models that permit intra- and extra-cellular electro-physiological measurements and recordings. The three-dimensional hydrogel constructs allow for flexibility in incorporated cell types, geometric fabrication, and electrical manipulation, providing viable systems for culture, perturbation, and testing of biomimetic neural growth with physiologically-relevant results.
