  • Publication number: 20230082106
Abstract: This document describes techniques for localizing a vehicle to map data, for example, to enable assisted driving and automated driving within a road. A road model builder is described that uses vehicle location data to determine its position relative to map data obtained from a provider, which can be different than the location data's source. Using the vehicle position, the road model builder maintains a current lane segment for the vehicle and its relative position within the current lane segment. Based on its relative position, the road model builder determines whether a transition to another lane segment is appropriate before setting the current lane segment to be the other lane segment. The current lane segment, when provided as an input to an assisted-driving or automated-driving system, can enable safer operation of the vehicle and use fewer computing resources than other systems.

  • Publication number: 20230065967
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing interactive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for users, such as medical professionals, to glean insight about connectivity data associated with a particular brain. A method can include overlaying nodes representing locations of parcels of a patient's brain on a representation of a brain and displaying the representation of the brain with the overlaid nodes in a GUI. Nodes having connectivity above a first threshold can be represented in a first indicia and nodes having connectivity below a second threshold can be represented in a second indicia. The method can include receiving user input and taking an action based on the user input. The user input can include selecting an area of the representation of the brain for excision. Taking an action based on the input can include calculating an impact of excising the area of the brain on the particular patient.

  • Publication number: 20220265145
Abstract: A pre-event connectome of a subject brain is accessed, the pre-event connectome defining i) first functional nodes in the subject brain and ii) first edges that represent connections between the first functional nodes before the subject has undergone an event. A post-event connectome of the subject brain is accessed, the post-event connectome defining i) second functional nodes in the subject brain and ii) second edges that represent connections between the second functional nodes after the subject has undergone the event. A connectome-difference map data is generated that records the difference between the pre-event connectome and the post-event connectome. An action is taken based on the connectome-difference map data.

  • Publication number: 20220268193
Abstract: An aftertreatment system for treating an exhaust gas comprises an exhaust conduit, a preheating oxidation catalyst, a primary oxidation catalyst disposed downstream of the preheating oxidation catalyst, and a selective catalytic reduction system disposed in the exhaust conduit downstream of the primary oxidation catalyst. A controller is configured to determine a temperature of an exhaust gas at an inlet of the selective catalytic reduction system. In response to the temperature being below a threshold temperature, the controller generates a hydrocarbon insertion signal configured to cause hydrocarbons to be inserted into or upstream of the preheating oxidation catalyst so as to increase a temperature of the exhaust gas to above the threshold temperature.

  • Publication number: 20220260670
Abstract: Methods and systems are described that enable radar detection prioritization based on downstream feedback. As a vehicle is traveling in a travel corridor, radar detections are received by a processor and feedback related to a downstream function is received from another processor that is executing the downstream function. For the radar detections that are determined to be within the travel corridor, respective priorities are assigned based on locations of the radar detections and the feedback related to the downstream function. The radar detections with the assigned priorities are then stored in a detection buffer along with indications of their respective assigned priorities. In this way, the detection buffer may be optimized for the downstream function by filtering out certain detections and prioritizing others. Consequently, computational loads on the downstream function are reduced while ensuring that important detections are received by the downstream function early.
