In some implementations, a sample of electromagnetic energy processed by one or more radio frequency (RF) communication receivers is received from the one or more receivers. The sample of electromagnetic energy is examined to detect one or more RF signals present in the sample. In response to detecting one or more RF signals present in the sample, the one or more RF signals are extracted from the sample, and time and frequency bounds are estimated for each of the one or more RF signals. For each of the one or more RF signals, at least one of a type of a signal present, or a likelihood of signal being present, in the sample is classified.

In the communications network, ground based stations interspersed throughout a coverage area of the network can be utilized to provide one or more aircraft flying within the coverage area with communications links that facilitate communication between an operator and an aircraft. In one or more examples, during the operation of the flight, the spectrum management system or other controller can coordinate the transfer of communications responsibilities between ground-stations of the network. The network can use a priori information from the flight plan to pre-coordinate handovers before the actual handover is to be initiated. In one or more examples, pre-coordination can include exchanging cryptographic keys between a source base station and a probable target base station of a handover.

    Abstract: A manual reset actuator includes a main drain, a diaphragm release aperture fluidly coupled to a flow control valve, an upper chamber, a control port, a control orifice, an upper chamber supply orifice, and a sealing assembly, which includes a button, and a plunger. A pressure in the upper chamber exerts a downward force on the plunger. A spring exerts an upward force on the plunger. The fluid in the upper chamber is released via the control orifice, which lowers the pressure in the upper chamber, decreasing the downward force exerted on the plunger. When the downward force is less than the upward force, the spring forces the plunger upwards into an open configuration, which unseals the diaphragm release aperture. When the upward force is less than the downward force, the plunger remains in a closed configuration, which keeps the diaphragm release aperture sealed.
