  • Publication number: 20120166617
Abstract: A device receives, from multiple network elements, status information for a user equipment (UE) connection associated with a wireless core network and updates, based on the status information received from the network elements, a database record for the UE connection. The device receives, from an application server, a request for information associated with the UE connection and constructs, based on the request and from the database record, a resource message that includes real-time information about the UE connection. The device sends the resource message to the application server. The device also provides a disconnect message to the application server and/or the network elements when the status information received from the network elements indicates that the UE has been disconnected from the wireless core network.

  • Publication number: 20110300826
Abstract: A subscriber device receives a message from a network device external to the subscriber device, where the network device implements a first metering engine that meters usage of a network service by a subscriber using the subscriber device and where the message includes the subscriber's usage data. The subscriber device includes a second usage metering engine that receives the subscriber's usage data from the usage synchronization unit, and performs real-time metering of the subscriber's usage of the network service, based on the subscriber's usage data received from the network device and independently of the first metering engine of the network device, to generate real-time usage metering data. • Patent number: 7764256
Abstract: An apparatus for overdrive computation and method therefor. The overdrive computation apparatus is used for generating a desired overdrive gray-level value and includes first and second addition/subtraction devices, a priority encoder, and a computation device. The first addition/subtraction device outputs a difference value indicating difference between a first overdrive gray-level value OD1 and a second overdrive gray-level value OD2. The priority encoder determines a decision signal according to the difference value. The computation device receives first gray-level data, determines a first computation according to the decision signal, and performs the first computation on the first gray-level data to output operated gray-level data. The first gray-level data indicates a value lying between the ith first gray-level index value X(i) and the (i+1)th first gray-level index value X(i+1).

  • Patent number: 7724308
Abstract: A cross color suppressing apparatus used for suppressing the cross color of a frame is provided. The frame has several pixels, and the image data of each pixel include a luminance and a chrominance. The apparatus includes a diagonal edge detector, a cross color detector and a chrominance suppressing unit. The diagonal edge detector is used for determining whether target pixel is on a diagonal edge according to the luminance of the target pixel and that of its neighboring pixels. The cross color detector is used for determining whether the chrominance of the target pixel is substantially different from that of its neighboring pixels. If both the determination results of the diagonal edge detector and the cross color detector are true, the chrominance suppressing unit suppresses the chrominance of the target pixel and its neighboring pixels.

  • Patent number: 7434906
Abstract: A method and a device are used to generate print data of any resolutions based on ink volume from the original print data. The print data in the form of halftoned levels are first transferred to the ink image according to the relation between halftone level and drop number obtained by the experiment of ink control. Then, the ink image of original resolution is converted to the ink image of desired resolution by the concept of conservation ink volume per pixel where the amount of ink drops in the unit area stays coherent in the conversion. Finally, each drop number of the converted ink image is transferred to the corresponding halftone level to generate the printing data that can be accepted by the printing device.

  • Patent number: 7436455
Abstract: A de-interlacing device having a pattern recognizing unit and a method therefor for receiving an interlaced image and outputting a non-interlaced image. The de-interlacing device includes a first de-interlacing unit, a second de-interlacing unit and a pattern recognizing unit. The pattern recognizing unit receives the interlaced image, recognizes whether or not the interlaced image has an obviously horizontal pattern, outputting the interlaced image to the first de-interlacing unit if yes, and outputting the interlaced image to the second de-interlacing unit if not. The first de-interlacing unit and the second de-interlacing unit use different de-interlacing methods. The first or second de-interlacing unit receives the interlaced image outputted from the pattern recognizing unit and outputs the non-interlaced image accordingly.

  • Patent number: 7296875
Abstract: A cleaning device is mounted on either of the sides of an ink-jet printer. The cleaning device uses the power source of a paper delivering motor to transmit power to the cleaning units so that the cleaning units rotate to perform cleaning and scrubbing operations for an ink-jet print head. When the printer performs printing operations, the paper delivering motor is used to deliver paper without causing an interference with the ink-jet print head during the printing operation. When the ink-jet print head needs to be cleaned, an ink carriage moves to be opposed to the cleaning device under the ink carriage, then, the paper delivering motor supplies power to drive an external transmission device set. The external transmission device set drives the cleaning device on the revolving seat to rotate so as to clean the ink-jet print head of the ink carriage.
