Patent number: 11926556Abstract: A glass substrate comprises: a first surface with surface features having an average width, an average height, a ratio of the average height to the average width of from about 0.04 to about 0.24, and the first surface has a haze value of 3% to 40%. The glass substrate can be transparent to electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum. The glass substrate can have a composition of: 61-75 mol. % SiO2; 7-15 mol. % Al2O3; 0-12 mol. % B2O3; 9-21 mol. % Na2O; 0-4 mol. % K2O; 0-7 mol. % MgO; and 0-3 mol. % CaO. The first surface can have an average surface roughness Ra of from 10 nm to 1,000 nm. The first surface can have an average characteristic largest feature size of from 200 nm to 50 ?m. The ratio of the average height to the average width can be from 0.06 to about 0.08.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2020Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Corning IncorporatedInventors: Jaymin Amin, Robert Randall Hancock, Jr., Raymond Chih Chung Hsiao, Yuhui Jin, Aize Li, Jared Hilliard Seaman

Patent number: 9916013Abstract: An in-flight entertainment system remote controller has a control unit with a generally planar configuration. The control unit has a gaming controls side, an opposed keyboard side, and a top edge segment between the gaming controls side and the keyboard side. A dock is mounted to a passenger seat structure, and defines an open receptacle that is receptive to the control unit. The dock defines an insertion axis that is substantially coplanar with the remote control unit when oriented for mounting. The top edge segment is exposed while the gaming controls side and the keyboard side are concealed, with the control unit in a retracted position.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2015Date of Patent: March 13, 2018Assignee: PANASONIC AVIONICS CORPORATIONInventors: Steven Sizelove, Mehdi Izadyar, Marshal Perlman, Jared Randall, Jonah Griffith, Jeff Ladwig

Patent number: 9714956Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are described for providing an intuitive user interface on a test and measurement instrument. The test and measurement instrument can include container logic, which provides a work mode in which interactions with objects within a container on a display are allowed, and a move mode in which interactions with the objects within the container on the display are temporarily prevented. When in the move mode, the container logic can detect a dragging gesture associated with the container. In response to the dragging gesture, a preview container arrangement is provided overlaying the container arrangement. The container logic can detect a dropping indication, thereby causing the arrangement to snap to the preview container arrangement. Various other user interface controls are provided while in the move mode. In multi-user environments, customized container arrangements may be saved and then later recalled. Containers may be moved among multiple different displays.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2012Date of Patent: July 25, 2017Assignee: Tektronix, Inc.Inventors: Amy M. Bergsieker, Pechluck S. Laskey, Joshua M. Kornfeld, Jared Randall, Jordan P. Evans, Jeffrey W. Ladwig

Publication number: 20160252207Abstract: A locking foldable foot includes a mounting plate, a first member, and a second member. The proximal end of the first member is attached to the mounting plate at a pivot. The second member is coupled to the first member and is structured to move parallel to the first member. The proximal end of the second member is structured to be capable of engaging the mounting plate to prevent rotation of the first and second members about the pivot. A test and measurement instrument includes the locking foldable foot. A method of preventing unintentional closure of a foldable foot on a test and measurement instrument includes locking the foldable foot in an open position in response to the weight of the test and measurement instrument being applied to the foldable foot.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2016Publication date: September 1, 2016Inventors: Brian A. Hollenberg, Robert R. Kreitzer, Gary J. Waldo, Jonah S. Griffith, Jared Randall

Patent number: 9308245Abstract: Provided herein are insoluble particles that include polypeptides. The polypeptides may have immunogenicity that is greater than the immunogenicity of the same polypeptides when they are not present in the particle. The polypeptides may be soluble before incorporation into the particles and insoluble after incorporation into the particles. The particles may include lipopolysaccharide, wherein the lipopolysaccharide is insoluble. The particles may include a carrier. In one embodiment, a carrier is present at no greater than 0.001 mg carrier/mg particles. In one embodiment, a carrier is present at a ratio of carrier to polypeptide (weight:weight) of no greater than 0.05:1. In one embodiment, a carrier is not detectable in the particles.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2014Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: LIFE-SCIENCE INNOVATIONS, LLCInventors: Bobby Gene Poe, III, Jared Randall Huisinga

Patent number: 9146560Abstract: A robot navigation system includes a robot, a navigation beacon, and a cover structure. The robot includes a chassis, an omni-directional receiver, and at least one directional receiver. The navigation beacon includes an omni-directional infrared emitter and at least one directional infrared emitter. The cover structure is configured to block infrared transmissions between the at least one directional infrared emitter and the directional receiver while simultaneously permitting transmissions between the omni-directional infrared emitter and the omni-directional receiver. The cover structure may be made of a black silicone material.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2012Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: iRobot CorporationInventors: Scott Thomas Burnett, Jared Randall Maroon
