  • Patent number: 9246706
Abstract: In a service level interworking unit, a service center (SC) address or a set of SC addresses dedicated for the service level interworking is used whenever an instant message (IM) is interworked to a short message (SM). In other words, if a message is initially sent as an instant message (IM) by user equipment (UE) and is interworked to a short message (SM) by the interworking function, the interworked short message (SM) is sent to a dedicated service center (SC) address. For originating messages that are not interworked, different service center address or addresses are used. A terminating short message (SM) received at the interworking unit is interworked to an instant message (IM) and the interworked instant message (IM) is delivered to the user equipment (UE), if a service center address in the terminating short message (SM) is one of the dedicated service center addresses.

  • Publication number: 20150045074
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for submitting and/or delivering a SMS between user equipment without MSISDN are provided. One method includes storing the SIP-URI and IMSI for a device sending a SMS. The method may further include receiving a SMS from the sending device. In an embodiment, the TP-DA field of the MO-SMS is filled with value(s) that indicates the recipient UE is addressed without MSISDN, the R-URI is set to PSI, and the “to header” is set to the receiving device's SIP URI. The method may include retrieving the receiving device's SIP URI from the “to header,” and querying the receiving device's HSS for the IMSI and routing information of the receiving device. The method may then include delivering the SMS to the receiving device directly or delivering the SMS to the receiving device via the SMSC.

  • Publication number: 20140222921
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, system, client device, conference server device and computer program product of controlling media composition in a multi-party conversation involving a central control point (50). At a participant (10) of said multi-party conversation, a scope information (SoM) which specifies members of said multi-party conversation is selected and added to a session modifying request. The session modifying request is transmitted to the central control point (50) which initiates a media modification at the specified members in response to the scope information (SoM). Thereby, a client can control whether media modification is applied to the whole conference, selected participants or only between the client itself and the conference server.
