  • Patent number: 10250783
Abstract: This application is directed to a physical assembly including a magnet mount for physically receiving a physical module that includes a housing having a rear surface of a first shape. The magnet mount includes a first surface, a second surface and a magnetic material. The first surface is configured to attach to a mounting surface. The second surface has a second shape that is substantially complementary to the first shape, and is configured to engage the rear surface of the housing of the physical module. The magnetic material is disposed between the first and second surfaces and configured to magnetically couple to a magnetic material of the physical module. When the physical module is magnetically coupled to the magnet mount, an adjustable union between the magnet mount and the physical module is formed permitting adjustment of an angle of orientation of the physical module with respect to the magnet mount.

  • Publication number: 20190087646
Abstract: A method of detecting and responding to a visitor to a smart home environment via an electronic greeting system of the smart home environment, including determining that a visitor is approaching an entryway of the smart home environment; initiating a facial recognition operation while the visitor is approaching the entryway; initiating an observation window in response to the determination that a visitor is approaching the entryway; obtaining context information from one or more sensors of the smart home environment during the observation window; and at the end of the time window, initiating a response to the detected approach of the visitor based on the context information and/or an outcome of the facial recognition operation.

  • Publication number: 20190089934
Abstract: A method of presenting appropriate actions for responding to a visitor to a smart home environment via an electronic greeting system of the smart home environment, including detecting a visitor of the smart home environment; obtaining context information from the smart home environment regarding the visitor; based on the context information, identifying a plurality of appropriate actions available to a user of a client device for interacting with the visitor via the electronic greeting system; and causing the identified actions to be presented to the user of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20180355614
Abstract: A key-locked rebar clamping assembly includes a clamp that may be forced onto the perpendicular intersection of the upper and lower rods of crossed rebar and then held from below with a key. The assembly is readily installed by forcing the clamp over the intersection of the upper and lower rods and forcing the key through a keyway in opposing sides of the clamp. The assembly holds the rods together with the clamp at the top and the key at the bottom regardless of force, vibration, and the like applied to either rod. As the key constrains downward movement of the lower rod away from the clamp and the upper rod, the lower rod will not separate from the upper rod if walked on. The assembly reduces the need to alternate longitudinal adjacent rods between upper and lower positions, thus saving labor costs through the elimination of wire tying and complicated positioning.
