  • Patent number: 10436231
Abstract: A cable gripping apparatus comprising a plurality of jaw members, each jaw member being tapered on an outer surface thereof from a larger first end to a smaller second end, said plurality of jaw members being configured to receive and grip a cable therebetween. A cylindrical collar having external threads and a tapered internal bore is receivable of the tapered jaw members in the tapered internal bore. A cylindrical turnbuckle body having a threaded bore is receivable of the threaded cylindrical collar entirely within the turnbuckle bore. The cylindrical collar, plurality of jaw members, and cable gripped therewithin define collectively a collar sub-assembly receivable within the turnbuckle bore. When the turnbuckle body is rotated, the collar sub-assembly is moved axially within the threaded bore of the turnbuckle body, thus changing the tension in the cable.

  • Patent number: 10425477
Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe implementation of an exemplary synchronization protocol to identify file data for synchronization as well as negotiate how to achieve data transport for synchronization of the file data. In one example, a request for synchronization of data is received from a processing device. In response to receiving the request, a response is generated. The response may comprise: identification of file data for synchronization, instructions for accessing the file data and instructions indicating a data transport protocol to utilize to obtain the file data. The response may be transmitted to the processing device, for example, to enable the processing device to synchronize file data. Other examples are also described.

  • Patent number: 10416092
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting the presence or absence of unwanted metal deposits on a substrate holder of an electroplating apparatus are described herein. In various embodiments, a plating sensor is used to detect unwanted metal deposits. The plating sensor may be mounted relatively far away from the area that it measures (e.g., the sensor target area). For instance, the plating sensor may be on one side of the electroplating apparatus (in some cases mounted on a drip shield), and the sensor target area may be on the opposite side of the electroplating apparatus. In this way, the plating sensor can measure across the electroplating apparatus. This placement provides a relatively deep depth of focus for the plating sensor, and provides some physical separation between the plating sensor and the electroplating chemistry. Both of these factors lead to more reliable detection results.

  • Patent number: 10362498
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for coordinated multipoint receiver processing acceleration and latency reduction. In an exemplary embodiment, an apparatus includes a receiver that receives symbols from a wireless transmission and stores the symbols in a memory. The receiver also outputs an indicator that indicates that storage of the symbols in the memory has begun. The apparatus also includes a controller that outputs control signaling in response to the indicator. The apparatus also includes a link that acquires the symbols and remote scheduling and control information (RSCI) from the memory in response to receiving the control signaling. The link combines the symbols with the RSCI to form packets and transmits the packets to an external system.

  • Patent number: 10274640
Abstract: Systems and methods for attenuating vibrations in marine seismic equipment involve a vessel towing a seismic streamer having a plurality of seismic receivers. The seismic streamer is connected to the vessel by a front-end and a damper is coupled to the front-end. A vibration on the front-end is detected and a damper response to the detected vibration on the front-end is then determined. The damper is actively adjusted based on the damper response. The active adjustment dampens vibrations in an axial direction along a lead-in of the front-end and/or vibrations in a direction transverse to an axial direction of the lead-in.

  • Publication number: 20190005106
Abstract: A system hosts a file system representing a replica of file systems hosted on a plurality of nodes, each node storing data on a first storage medium. The system stores data on a second storage medium that is slower than the first storage medium. The system stores on the second storage medium a file received from one of the nodes when the file remains un-accessed by the nodes for a predetermined period of time. The first storage medium on the plurality of nodes stores a pointer to the file and not the data content of the file stored on the second storage medium. The system provides the file from the second storage medium to the first storage medium on one of the nodes while providing the plurality of nodes read and write access to the file stored on the second storage medium using the pointer on the first storage medium.
