  • Publication number: 20230203778
Abstract: A control device receives, from an engine load sensor device, a value of an engine load of an engine of an equipment operating in an operating environment. The control device compares the value of the engine load to a target engine load range defined by a minimum target engine load value and a maximum target engine load value. Responsive to determining that the value of the engine load is less than the minimum target engine load value, the control device lowers a cutting blade of the equipment to increase an engagement of the cutting blade with a surface or subsurface. Responsive to determining that the engine load is greater than the maximum target engine load value, the control device raises the cutting blade of the equipment to decrease the engagement of the cutting blade with the surface or subsurface.

  • Publication number: 20230190040
Abstract: A combustion powered electricity generating assembly for grilling and generating electricity includes a grill housing, which defines an interior space. A front opening positioned in a front face of the grill housing allows for positioning of combustible materials into the interior space. A front door is hingedly engaged to the grill housing and is positioned to selectively close the front opening. A thermoelectric generator engaged to a back face of the housing generates an electrical current due to a temperature differential between the grill housing and the ambient environment. A power storage module is operationally engaged to the thermoelectric generator so that the power storage module is charged by the electrical current. The power storage module can be engaged an electrical device to power the electrical device.

  • Patent number: 11669073
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and other techniques for controlling a velocity of a construction machine operating within a construction site. Sensor data is captured using one or more sensors of the construction machine while the construction machine is moving at the velocity in a forward or a backward direction. An actual surface of the construction site is estimated based on the sensor data. A deviation between a target surface and the actual surface is calculated. An actual performance metric is calculated based on the deviation. The actual performance metric is compared to a target performance metric to determine a velocity adjustment. The velocity of the construction machine is adjusted by the velocity adjustment.

  • Patent number: 11642244
Abstract: A system for treating an eye includes a laser light source providing photoactivating light. The system includes a scanning system to receive the photoactivating light as a laser beam and to move the laser beam over a cornea treated with a cross-linking agent. The system includes a controller that provides control signal(s) to programmatically control the laser light source and the scanning system. The control signal(s) cause the laser beam to visit region(s) of the cornea more than once according to a scan pattern and expose the region(s) to the photoactivating light. The photoactivating light causes the cross-linking agent in the exposed region(s) to react with oxygen to generate cross-linking activity in the exposed region(s). The scan pattern causes a predetermined period of time to pass between visits by the laser beam to the exposed region(s), the predetermined period of time allowing oxygen in the exposed region(s) to replenish.

  • Publication number: 20220304227
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and other techniques for controlling a velocity of an implement-equipped machine. An actual position of the implement-equipped machine is estimated based on sensor data captured using the machine's sensors. A cross track error between a target position and the actual position is calculated. An actual cross track error metric is calculated based on the cross track error. The actual cross track error metric is compared to a target cross track error metric to determine a velocity adjustment, where the velocity adjustment is determined so as to reduce a difference between the actual cross track error metric and the target cross track error metric. The velocity of the implement-equipped machine is adjusted by the velocity adjustment.

  • Patent number: 11340197
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system for liquid sample introduction into a chromatography system. The system includes a metering device for drawing up the liquid sample, a first multi-port valve in fluid communication with a first end of the metering device and the liquid sample, a second multi-port valve in fluid communication with a second end of the metering device and a chromatography column, and a pump in fluid communication with the second multi-port valve and a mobile phase. When the valves are in a first position the metering device draws up the liquid sample filling a portion of the metering device. When the valves are in a second position, a remaining portion of the metering device is filled with the mobile phase thereby mixing with and pressurizing the liquid sample. When the valves are in a third position, the mixed and pressurized sample flows to the chromatography column.
