  • Publication number: 20220096084
Abstract: A surgical tool comprising a drive housing having first and second ends, a lead screw extending between the first and second ends and rotatably coupled to the first end at a drive input, a carriage mounted to the lead screw at a carriage nut and movable within the drive housing between the first and second ends, and an instrument driver arranged at an end of a robotic arm and matable with the first end. A drive output is matable with the drive input such that rotation of the drive output correspondingly rotates the drive input and the lead screw to thereby translate the carriage nut along the lead screw. A fin may be connected to the carriage and accessible by a user from an exterior of the drive housing to manually translate the carriage along the lead screw and thereby backdrive the drive output.

  • Patent number: 11280769
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system for liquid sample introduction into a chromatography system. The system includes a syringe, a first valve in fluid communication with the syringe, a second valve in fluid communication with the sample, a vessel located between, and in fluid communication with, the first and second valves, a third valve in fluid communication with the first valve, the second valve and a chromatography column, and a pump in fluid communication with the third valve and a mobile phase. When the valves are in a first position the syringe draws the sample into the vessel. The mobile phase flows to the chromatography column. When the valves are in a second position, a portion of the mobile phase flows into the vessel, mixing with and pressurizing the sample. When the valves are in a third position, the mixed and pressurized sample flows to the chromatography column.

  • Patent number: 11280346
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a centrifugal pump according to which an annular retainer is positioned around a first end portion of a pump shaft, an open end portion of a compression cylinder is positioned around the first end portion of the pump shaft so that the pump shaft extends within an internal cavity of the compression cylinder, the compression cylinder is moved towards an annular groove formed in the first end portion of the pump shaft, and the annular retainer is sprung into the annular groove. In some embodiments, springing the annular retainer into the annular groove constrains one or more impellers and one or more annular spacers between the annular retainer and another annular retainer connected to the pump shaft.

  • Publication number: 20220083029
Abstract: The present disclosure describes computer systems and computer-implemented methods for use in an agricultural operation. Vehicle location information for at least one agricultural vehicle is received, and the vehicle location information is used to determine a vehicle path. Vehicle state information is received from the vehicle and is used to determine whether the vehicle is in a working or non-working state. The vehicle path is then rendered on a map display, with the map display visually distinguishing between sections of the vehicle path traversed while the vehicle is in the working state and sections of the vehicle path traversed while the vehicle is in the non-working state.

  • Patent number: 11143634
Abstract: Methodologies, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for controlling the mass flow rate within a CO2 based chromatography system. The pressure within a CO2 pump is measured and received at a computing system, and the computing system retrieves a target temperature value corresponding to the new pressure measurement within the CO2 pump. The computing system then generates a temperature control command that controls a CO2 pump heater or cooler in order to achieve the target temperature value at the CO2 pump. Thus, a target mass flow rate of CO2 from the CO2 pump is achieved by adjusting the temperature of the CO2 pump in response to changes in pressure.

  • Publication number: 20210129357
Abstract: A surgical instrument and method of operating same includes an end effector and a shaft assembly. The shaft assembly has proximal and distal shaft portions respectively extending along proximal and distal axes, a first elongate member, and an articulation section. The articulation section extends between the proximal and distal shaft portions and is configured to articulate about a first articulation axis and about a second articulation axis to thereby respectively deflect the end effector along a first plane and a second plane. The articulation section has a first lumen radially offset from the proximal and distal axes that longitudinally intersects the first and second articulation axes. The first lumen movably supports the first elongate member such that the radial spacing of the first elongate member is maintained relative to the proximal and distal axes at each of the first and second articulation axes during deflection of the end effector.

  • Publication number: 20210038428
Abstract: A system for treating an eye includes a laser light source providing photoactivating light. The system includes a scanning system to receive the photoactivating light as a laser beam and to move the laser beam over a cornea treated with a cross-linking agent. The system includes a controller that provides control signal(s) to programmatically control the laser light source and the scanning system. The control signal(s) cause the laser beam to visit region(s) of the cornea more than once according to a scan pattern and expose the region(s) to the photoactivating light. The photoactivating light causes the cross-linking agent in the exposed region(s) to react with oxygen to generate cross-linking activity in the exposed region(s). The scan pattern causes a predetermined period of time to pass between visits by the laser beam to the exposed region(s), the predetermined period of time allowing oxygen in the exposed region(s) to replenish.
