  • Patent number: 11233515
Abstract: Systems and methods related to scheduling of tasks for execution in parallel based on geometric reach are described. An example method includes processing information pertaining to connectivity among superconducting components and nodes included in a shared floor plan to generate a plurality of areas of reach, where each of the plurality of areas of reach corresponds to a portion of the shared floor plan. The method further includes generating a plurality of inflated areas of reach by inflating each of the plurality of areas of reach based on a target inductance of wires for routing signals among the superconducting components and the nodes included in the shared floor plan. The method further includes scheduling parallel execution of tasks for routing wires among a subset of the superconducting components and the nodes within any of the plurality of inflated areas of reach satisfying a geometric constraint.

  • Publication number: 20210383594
Abstract: A head-mounted display comprises a display device and an outward-facing depth camera. A storage machine comprises instructions executable by a logic machine to present one or more virtual objects on the display device, to receive information from the depth camera about an environment, and to determine a position of the head-mounted display within the environment. Based on the position of the head-mounted display, a position of a joint of a user's arm is inferred. Based on the information received from the depth camera, a position of a user's hand is determined. A ray is cast from a portion of the user's hand based on the position of the joint of the user's arm and the position of the user's hand. Responsive to the ray intersecting with one or more control points of a virtual object, the user is provided with an indication that the virtual object is being targeted.

  • Publication number: 20210329569
Abstract: A wireless communication method to alter RF regulatory channel hopping requirements (regulations) between a pair of transceivers is envisioned wherein an embedded transceiver embedded in an RF attenuating medium transmits signals at a lower hopping requirement than a paired open-air transceiver. The communication method adheres to these regulations, which define a threshold power for transmission above which require a high degree of frequency hopping. Because the attenuating medium attenuates the open-air RF signal from the embedded transceiver, channel hopping in the embedded transceiver is lowered however, the channel hopping in the open-air transceiver is not lowered. The two transceivers are essentially powered equally.

  • Patent number: 11146401
Abstract: A programming session may be initiated to a vehicle ECU by an update device. A software update for the ECU may be authenticated by the update device using an authentication key. When an authentication result indicates successful authentication, the ECU software update is sent by the update device over the in-vehicle network to the ECU. The ECU may then flash a memory with the ECU software update. The authentication key may be obtained from the ECU. The update device may be a vehicle telematics control unit or a service tool coupled to a connector of the vehicle.
