  • Publication number: 20070240833
Abstract: A window restraint device includes a mesh screen having an upper end and a lower end. The restraint device includes an upper attachment device, such as a clip or strap, coupled to the screen upper end for removable attachment to an automobile door frame. The restraint device also includes a lower attachment device, such as a suction cup, coupled to the screen lower end for connecting the lower end of the screen to an automobile window. Neither the upper or lower attachment devices interfere with normal operation of the vehicle window, nor do they restrict a pet from normal movement within the vehicle. The restraint device may also include a spring-loaded reel from which the screen may be extended from or retracted into. The spring provides tension between upper and lower ends of the screen.

  • Publication number: 20070153862
Abstract: Arrays of vertical extended cavity surface emitting lasers (VECSELs) are disclosed. The functionality of two or more conventional optical components are combined into an optical unit to reduce the number of components that must be aligned during packaging. A dichroic beamsplitter selectively couples frequency doubled light out of the cavity. In one implementation the dichroic beamsplitter includes at least one prism.

  • Publication number: 20070147458
Abstract: Arrays of surface emitting lasers are disclosed. A top contact plate is patterned with apertures and used to form an electrical connection to a top surface of a laser die. The top contact plate reduces electrical resistance and improves current uniformity compared with conventional contacts formed by plating.

  • Publication number: 20060114531
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, systems, and apparatuses for providing automated vehicle image acquisition, analysis, and reporting. One embodiment of the invention includes a method for providing vehicle damage information to an interested party. The method can include receiving simultaneously captured image data associated with a vehicle. The method can also include comparing at least a portion of the image data with previously stored image data associated with the vehicle. Furthermore, the method can include based at least in part on the comparison of the portion of image data with previously stored image data associated with the vehicle, determining whether damage to the vehicle exists. In addition, the method can include outputting an indicator of whether damage to the vehicle exists.

  • Publication number: 20060023173
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for generating a projected display is disclosed. A light source generates red, green, and blue light using arrays of extended cavity surface emitting semiconductor lasers. The beams of individual lasers overlap and have a distribution of optical attributes selected to reduce speckle on a display surface.

  • Publication number: 20060023757
Abstract: A mode-locked laser with intracavity frequency conversion is disclosed. In one embodiment the conversion frequency is improved by reducing the temporal, spatial, or polarization overlap between pulses at the fundamental frequency and pulses at a frequency-shifted frequency.

  • Publication number: 20050103317
Abstract: A hopper for a paintball gun is disclosed. The hopper is a gravity feed hopper and has a lower profile than those in the previous art. The hopper fits closely to the profile of the paintball gun and may have multiple chambers along with unidirectional gates to control the flow between chambers and within chambers as well. This invention may take the form of a hopper mounted onto a previous type of paintball gun as an aftermarket add-on or it may be built into the paintball gun itself as part of its construction.

  • Patent number: 6685319
Abstract: Systems and methods verify and/or correct optical errors of an eye. A plan is generated for a corrective procedure of the eye from a measured optical error, and a verification lens is formed based on the measured optical error to verify the procedure plan. Alignment of an aperture (with a size selected to correspond to the size of the pupil) with the eye while measuring optical properties of the eye through the verification lens improves verification accuracy, as does mounting of the verification lens and aperture to the patient with a trial frame.
