  • Publication number: 20100036833
Abstract: The subject application is directed to a system and method for type-ahead address lookup employing historically weighted address placement. A prompt is generated on a display for commencement of a new search operation and search data of text entries is received via a user interface. Entries are stored in an associated database, each entry having at least one searchable text field. At least a first character of a new search received via the user interface is tested against the entries relative to the searchable field. A display is generated corresponding to a subset of the entries based upon a testing output. Selection data is received corresponding to a selected entry from the displayed subset and weighting data is generated corresponding to received selection data. Displayed entries are ordered corresponding to the subset of database entries upon subsequent re-entry of the at least a first character during a subsequent search operation.

  • Publication number: 20090017243
Abstract: Thermally formed thermoplastic articles can be protected from stress cracking in the presence of stress cracking promoting compounds by forming a shaped article comprising a thermoplastic and a liquid hydrocarbon oil composition. We have found that the liquid hydrocarbon oil composition prevents the stress cracking promoting materials from interacting with the polymeric structure of the stressed container to prevent or inhibit stress cracking in such materials. The methods and compositions of the invention are particularly useful in preventing stress cracking in polyethylene terephthalate beverage containers during bottling operations during which the bottle is contacted with aqueous and non-aqueous materials such as cleaners and lubricants that can interact with the polyester to cause stress cracking particularly in the container base.

  • Publication number: 20080287338
Abstract: A solid functional material comprises a functional agent such as a cleaning composition, a sanitizing agent, where a rinse agent, etc. in a solid block format. The solid block is formed by a binding agent that forms the active ingredients into a solid block. The binding agent comprises a phosphonate or amino acetate sequestrant, a carbonate salt and water in an E-Form hydrate. These materials at a specific mole ratio form a novel binding agent that can form functional materials into a solid matrix form.

  • Patent number: 7349760
Abstract: A system for measuring and controlling the concentration of a chemical agent in a solution has a reaction cell for receiving a sample, a titrant dropper for releasing one or more drops of titrant into the sample, a first photosensor for sensing disruptions of light for every drop of titrant released, and a controller that communicates with the photosensor and computes the concentration of the chemical agent based on the number of disruptions of light at the photosensor. The present invention also includes a method for sensing and controlling the concentration of a chemical agent in a solution. The method includes having a sample containing the chemical agent, triggering the release of a number of drops of titrant into the sample, detecting the number of drops released into the sample, and computing the concentration of the chemical agent in the sample based on the number of drops of titrant released into the sample.

  • Patent number: 7308048
Abstract: A clock recovery circuit samples an incoming data stream that includes sequences of signal transitions. A transition detector categorizes the received signal transitions into various types, such as those associated with 2PAM and 4PAM signaling schemes. Select logic control circuitry analyzes the signal-transition types to determine which of the transition types is best suited for clock recovery. This determination relies upon a number of factors, including for example whether the received signal is a 4PAM signal or a 2PAM signal, the existence of a pattern within the received data, or the relative abundance or scarcity of certain types of transitions.

  • Publication number: 20070136491
Abstract: A computing system, method and computer readable media for group interactive multicast using UPnP AV architecture on a network are disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of devices and control points coupled to the network. The devices include a plurality of renders and a server, in which those renders form a group. The server comprises a data recording medium for saving a group list of the group. The control points comprise a server control point and a plurality of render control points. The control points are utilized to control the server and the renders and to register events. As one of the render control points correspondingly sends a command to one of the renders of the group, the render, which receives the command, will feedback a UPnP event to the server. The server will transfer the command to those renders, which do not receive the command before, so as to make those renders of the group to execute the command simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20070136335
Abstract: A method and system facilitating multiple independent extensions of a concept taxonomy. Separate classification operations determine how one or more distinct sets of additional concepts, each comprising an extension, fit in with the original taxonomy while leaving the original taxonomy intact and substantially without copying it. Classification results are recorded so that the original taxonomy and every extension thereof can be independently queried and retrieved on demand. This process is referred to as modular classification.

  • Publication number: 20060271424
Abstract: A method and system for enabling the sponsorship of document processing services. A document processing service request is submitted by an associated user. At least one sponsor, associated with the document processing service request is then identified and communicated to the user. Terms and conditions regarding the sponsorship of the request are then presented to the user for acceptance. The terms and conditions include restrictions on the number of pages, size and color, as well as the placement of an advertisement on the output. The advertisement is in the form of a banner, watermark or reverse-side image. Once accepted, the advertisement is inserted into the request and the selected operation is performed. The fees associated with the request are then calculated and charged to the sponsor. When only partial payment is authorized by the sponsor, the user is charged for the remaining fees.

  • Publication number: 20050111585
Abstract: A receive circuit for receiving a signal transmitted via an electric signal conductor. A first sampling circuit generates a first sample value that indicates whether the signal exceeds a first threshold level, and a second sampling circuit generates a second sample value that indicates whether the signal exceeds a second threshold level. A first select circuit receives the first and second sample values from the first and second sampling circuits and selects, according to a previously generated sample value, either the first sample value or the second sample value to be output as a selected sample value.

  • Publication number: 20050069071
Abstract: A circuit, such as a CDR circuit, includes a sampler to receive a data signal having a variable data bit-rate responsive to a clock signal in an embodiment of the present invention. A clock circuit is coupled to the sampler and generates the clock signal responsive to a selectable update rate and a selectable phase adjust step-size. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the clock circuit includes a Stall logic that is coupled to first, second and third stages and is capable to hold the phase adjust signal responsive to the first and second stage output signals. In a third embodiment of the present invention, an indicator detects the variable data bit-rate and a counter provides the selectable phase adjust step-size for the adjust signal. In a fourth embodiment of the present invention, the clock circuit includes the Stall logic, the indicator and the counter.
