  • Publication number: 20030175760
Abstract: Methods to screen antibodies against an antigen, categorize them according to the epitope they recognize, and rank them according to their binding affinities, thereby providing a method to rapidly and efficiently identify antibodies having potential usefulness in therapeutic products are described. Also described are methods of evaluating antibodies to determine their potential usefulness in therapeutic products.

  • Publication number: 20030157730
Abstract: Methods for categorizing antibodies based on their epitope binding characteristics are described. Methods and systems for determining the epitope recognition properties of different antibodies are provided. Also provided are data analysis processes for clustering antibodies on the basis of their epitope recognition properties and for identifying antibodies having distinct epitope binding characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5454058
Abstract: An optical component fabricated from a semi-conductor wafer in which the epilayers are in the InCaAsP system comprises a pair of ridge waveguides. The ridge waveguides are proximate and parallel to each other in a first region, and diverge from each other in a second region. Each waveguide has a continuous electric contact over its upper surface to provide a first light amplification zone through or beneath at least a portion of both first and second light guiding paths and a second light amplification zone through or beneath at least a portion of both the first and a third light guiding path. The component can be used as a low loss 1.times.2 switch, or as a low loss 2.times.1 combiner.
