Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure present systems, methods, and apparatus for server-based gaming. Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to systems and methods that include gaming system functionality on a host computer that provides such to individual player-operated electronic gaming machines as thin clients in thin-client architecture. Embodiments of the disclosure can provide systems and methods for tracking and/or downloading a downloadable game, and may include royalty calculation functionality for the use of proprietary gaming software at one or more electronic gaming machines.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and displays are disclosed for logging a player at a gaming table having a plurality of player positions for the purpose of tracking the play of the player. System can include a processor; a data structure storing account data for each player, the data including at least player identification data; a display configured to display a depiction of the gaming table, a plurality of player positions and a position locator, the locator positioned apart from the depicted player positions; a data input device to input data to position the locator to identify a player position; and a device to access the player account data, the processor associating player identification data with the identified player position. The locator can be configured as a pointer, e.g., a pointer and slide. The processor can be configured to highlight the position identified by the locator. Related methods and apparatus are also disclosed.

The symbols dominant to a winning outcome, which are displayed after a play, are used to control the characteristic of the complementary display. Several symbols may be displayed to indicate a game outcome in association with color characteristics. In an embodiment, a color of light is associated with a particular game symbol.

Abstract: One or more preventative maintenance mode parameters for an inkjet-printing device having an inkjet-printing mechanism are determined based on a water loss rate of water from ink within the device and/or on an air gain rate of air into the ink within the device. As such, periodic performance of a non-user-initiated preventative maintenance mode based on the preventative maintenance mode parameters results in the ink within the inkjet-printing mechanism being sufficiently fresh so as not to affect quality of image formation by the inkjet-printing device. Therefore, the non-user-initiated preventative maintenance mode for the inkjet-printing device is periodically performed based on the preventative maintenance mode parameters to eject at least some of the ink from, and to refill fresh ink into, the inkjet-printing mechanism.

Abstract: A gas generating system usable in an inflatable vehicle occupant protection system is provided. The system includes an outer housing having an outer diameter varying within a range of approximately 16 millimeters to approximately 20 millimeters. A vehicle occupant protection system and an airbag module including the gas generating system are also provided.

Abstract: A speaker system with a mount pivotally secured to a speaker frame for detachably securing the speaker system to a display monitor is disclosed. The mount pivots relative to the frame so as to allow the display monitor to be operably received between the mount and frame thereby holding the speaker system in place. A securing structure is preferably provided to hold the mount at a desired position, and resilient padding is preferably provided between the frame, mount and display monitor. The mount can also have a substantially planar bottom surface which allows the speaker system to rest on a desktop simply by positioning the substantially planar bottom surface of the mount on the desktop.

Abstract: A micromechanical device may include one or more piezoresistive elements whose electrical resistance changes in response to externally or internally induced strain. The present invention leverages the piezoresistive properties of such devices to sense the positional state of the device. A sensing circuit may be integrated into the device that senses an electrical resistance of at least a portion of the micromechanical device and provides information regarding the positional state of the micromechanical device. The micromechanical device may be a compliant device that includes relatively flexible members such as mechanical beams or ribbons. The positional states may be continuous positional states (such as the position of an actuator) or discreet positional states (such as the positional state of a bistable memory device). In certain embodiments, the micromechanical device is a threshold detector that latches to a particular stable configuration when an applied force exceeds a selected value.

The first housing forms a combustion chamber for the gas generant. Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydraulically operated boat lift capable of raising a boat vertically from the water in a linear fashion using a single hydraulic ram having its piston integral to the stationary frame and its cylinder integral to the non-stationary lifting portion of the apparatus. The ram raises a supporting crossbars under the front and rear of the boat. This single ram eliminates the critical problem of power distribution, binding, and levelness during raising and lowering. This simplified linear lift enables greater lift distances and also reduces and limits the extreme stresses that non-linear radius swing arm mechanisms experience thereby enabling construction with lightweight metals or plastics.

Abstract: A system for providing automatic event publication relative to data owned by a service is disclosed. A service which owns data publishes internal events when data is created, updated, or deleted. These internal events are only visible by consumers on the same physical computer and running within the same process or executable. Consumers who are located remotely or in a separate process cannot subscribe to these events. Embodiments provide the ability to expose local entity create, update, and delete events as “public” events (or out-only messages) on a service contract. This allows external consumers who may be remote and even on a different platform, to subscribe and receive notifications of when data changes in the owning service.
