  • Publication number: 20160336758
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention may relate generally to electrical systems, and more particularly, to a structure, system, and method of powering an electric ring with an external power source. An energy storage ring may be used to store energy and transmit energy to the electric ring. The energy storage ring may include an energy storage device and an energy transmission device. The electric ring may include an energy receiver device and one or more energy consuming devices. The energy transmission device of the energy storage ring may be configured to transmit energy to energy receiver device of the electric ring. Utilizing the energy storage ring to store energy may increase energy available for use by the electric ring, thus substantially increasing types and number of devices that may be included in the electric ring.

  • Publication number: 20160330312
Abstract: An approach, carried out by one or more processors, for providing volume information to communication devices. The approach may include receiving an indication from a first communication device of a first user to send volume information to other communication devices in a vicinity. The approach may further include determining a second communication device of a second user is in the vicinity of the first communication device and subsequently determining a first set of volume information for the second communication device based on at least a first location of the first communication device, where the first set of volume information includes a volume range for the second user to audibly communicate where the first user will not hear the second user. The approach may further include sending first set of volume information to the second communication device.

  • Patent number: 9472209
Abstract: In a method for deep tagging a recording, a computer records audio comprising speech from one or more people. The computer detects a non-speech sound within the audio. The computer determines that the non-speech sound corresponds to a type of sound, and in response, associates a descriptive term with a time of occurrence of the non-speech sound within the recorded audio to form a searchable tag. The computer stores the searchable tag as metadata of the recorded audio.

  • Publication number: 20160300418
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system determines the best option for accomplishing or performing an activity between multiple participants and may send a notification to the multiple participants of the determined best option. The system analyzes the preferences, limitations, behaviors, and capabilities of each of the participants and displays an aggregate of these traits from each of participants. The system then applies a set of rules and guidelines for determining which option is best suited for performing the activity with all of the participants. The system comprises a computer system including at least one processor. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for determining the best option for accomplishing or performing an activity between multiple participants in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Publication number: 20160299566
Abstract: In an approach to retrieving focus-based information, one or more computer processors receive a period of focused attention by a user on a user interface of a first device. The one or more computer processors determine one or more topics and one or more locations of the one or more topics based, at least in part, on the period of focused attention. The one or more computer processors store the one or more topics and the one or more locations of the one or more topics. The one or more computer processors determine whether the period of focused attention ends. Responsive to determining the period of focused attention ends, the one or more computer processors retrieve the one or more locations. The one or more computer processors display an indicator of the one or more locations.

  • Publication number: 20160299670
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system determines the best communication channel to be utilized between multiple participants and establishes a communication link between the multiple participants via that communication channel. The system analyzes the preferences, limitations, behaviors, and capabilities of each of the participants and displays an aggregate of these traits from each of participants. The system then applies a set of rules and guidelines for determining which communication channel is best suited for establishing a communication link with all of the participants. • Publication number: 20160234463
Abstract: A system of enhancing communication in a multi-participant video conference by tracking eye contact between participants, implemented by a computing processor, detects that a first participant is looking at a second participant on a first screen viewed by the first participant, where both are engaged in the multi-participant video conference. The system adjusts a first video representation of the first participant such that the first participant appears to look directly at the second participant on a second screen viewed by the second participant. The system adjusts the second video representation to look directly at the first participant to enhance communication between the first participant and the second participant by allowing the first participant and the second participant to look directly into each other's eyes during the multi-participant video conference.

  • Publication number: 20160171646
Abstract: An image is modified for display on a rigid curved wearable display device. Positioning data is received from position sensors on the rigid curved wearable display device. The position sensors provide positioning data that describe, in real time, a physical three-dimensional orientation of the rigid curved wearable display device relative to a field of vision of a wearer of the rigid curved wearable display device. The position sensors further determine a present viewable area of the exterior display surface based on the physical three-dimensional orientation of the rigid curved wearable display device relative to the field of vision of the wearer. An image on the present viewable area is modified based on the physical three-dimensional orientation of the rigid curved wearable display device relative to the field of vision of the wearer, thus generating a modified image that is displayed on a predefined area of the exterior display surface.
