  • Patent number: 11009146
Abstract: A sealing valve is provided for a sensor that includes a sensing element and a sensor opening that exposes the sensing element. The sealing valve includes a housing that is configured to be mounted to the sensor such that an internal channel of the housing fluidly communicates with the sensor opening. The sealing valve includes a float element configured to float along a surface of the liquid. The float element is configured to move within the internal channel between an open position and a closed position. The float element is configured to close the sensor opening to the internal channel in the closed position. The sensor opening is open to the internal channel when the float element is in the open position. The float element is configured to rise with the surface of the liquid within the internal channel toward the closed position.

  • Patent number: 10998231
Abstract: A device wafer is provided that includes a substrate having major and minor surfaces, and a plurality of active devices located at the major surface. A eutectic alloy composition is formed at the minor surface of the substrate. The eutectic alloy composition is removed from the minor surface of the substrate such that a portion of the eutectic alloy composition remains at an outer perimeter of the minor surface to strengthen the outer perimeter of the substrate. A bonding layer is deposited over the minor surface and over the portion of the eutectic alloy composition at the outer perimeter of the minor surface. The bonding layer is utilized for joining semiconductor components of the device wafer to secondary structures. Additional eutectic alloy composition may remain on the minor surface of the substrate at the streets to strengthen the substrate during device wafer separation.

  • Publication number: 20210111640
Abstract: An ideal diode circuit is described which uses an NMOS transistor as a low-loss ideal diode. The control circuit for the transistor is referenced to the anode voltage and not to ground, so the control circuitry may be low voltage circuitry, even if the input voltage is very high, referenced to earth ground. A capacitor is clamped to about 10-20V, referenced to the anode voltage. The clamped voltage powers a differential amplifier for the detecting if the anode voltage is greater than the cathode voltage. The capacitor is charged to the clamped voltage during normal operation of the ideal diode by controlling the conductivity of a second transistor coupled between the cathode and the capacitor, enabling the circuit to be used with a wide range of frequencies and voltages. All voltages applied to the differential amplifier are equal to or less than the clamped voltage.
