  • Publication number: 20180336038
Abstract: An execution slice circuit for a processor core has multiple parallel instruction execution slices and provides flexible and efficient use of internal resources. The execution slice circuit includes a master execution slice for receiving instructions of a first instruction stream and a slave execution slice for receiving instructions of a second instruction stream and instructions of the first instruction stream that require an execution width greater than a width of the slices. The execution slice circuit also includes a control logic that detects when a first instruction of the first instruction stream has the greater width and controls the slave execution slice to reserve a first issue cycle for issuing the first instruction in parallel across the master execution slice and the slave execution slice.

  • Patent number: 10092138
Abstract: A food processing device (10) includes a drive assembly coupled to a dualaction cutting tool (20) and a single-action dicing tool (40). First and second cutting assemblies (51, 52) are disposed on the cutting tool (20) and are adapted to make first and second cuts in a food substrate as the cutting tool (20) rotates within a food processing path (26). The cutting tool (20) is further adapted to urge the cut food substrate towards and through the dicing tool (40) where generally parallel spaced-apart blades (66) further cut the food substrate to form diced food elements. The sequential cutting arrangement of the cutting tool (20) and the dicing tool (40) provides for a food processing device (10) that is capable of dicing a food substrate with lower torque and lower power requirements as compared to conventional dicing methods.

  • Publication number: 20170211475
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating particles from an inlet airflow of a turbine engine has a centerbody with a radially outer scavenge conduit. The inlet airflow has entrained particulate matter, which can impact an impact surface defining part of the centerbody. The impact surface can be disposed at an angle or have a low coefficient of restitution to reduce the velocity of the incoming particulate matter. The particulate matter is radially diverted radially outward through the scavenge conduit, unable to make a turn defined by the shape of the centerbody.
