Patent number: 11888850Abstract: A communal computing device, such as an interactive digital whiteboard, can become unlocked if a user is near the device. The communal computing device may use a sensor such as a camera to capture images of a person and obtain an identifier from a personal device such as a smartphone. A cloud-based provider that is trusted by both the communal computing device and the personal device may associate both the image and the identifier of the personal device with the same user identity. Obtaining the user identity from multiple, different sources provides a secure technique for the communal computing device to recognize a user without the user directly interacting with the communal computing device. If the sensor no longer detects the user or the personal device is no longer detected, then the communal computing device may log off the user. The personal device may be used to confirm log off.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2022Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Raju Jain, Dipesh Bhattarai, Peter Gregory Davis, Jeffrey Johnson, Liang Zhang, Kiran Kumar

Patent number: 11872072Abstract: A timer circuit for an X-ray imaging system having an X-ray generator used to generate images of a patient. The circuit includes a current sensor connected between a main power system and a circuit interrupter, wherein the circuit interrupter is also connected to the X-ray generator. The circuit also includes a timing device coupled between the current sensor and a control computer. The timing device is triggered when a current level detected by the current sensor exceeds an idle current level wherein X-rays are not generated by the X-ray generator. The timing device then measures a time period that the idle current level is exceeded. When the measured time period exceeds a predetermined time period by 10%, the circuit interrupter is activated to turn off current flow to the X-ray generator.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2019Date of Patent: January 16, 2024Assignee: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.Inventors: Eric M. Patent number: 11790047Abstract: The technology implements diversity sampling for a technology-assisted review of documents. An apparatus obtains an unlabeled set of documents and constructs a first batch of documents. The apparatus obtains labels for the documents and constructs a classification model using the labeled documents. The apparatus logs a found rate of a subsequent batch of documents from the unlabeled set of documents, the subsequent batch of documents being selected based on a comparison to the classification model. The apparatus determines that the classification model requires further training based on the found rate of the subsequent batch of documents and constructs a second batch of documents that includes an amount of diversity, which may be based on the found rate. The apparatus obtains labels for the second batch of documents and updates the model using the labeled second batch of documents. The method may be repeated to continue to refine the classification model.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: Consilio, LLCInventors: Jeffrey A. Publication number: 20230322440Abstract: A container lid is provided herein having structurally reinforcing ribs therein. The ribs increase the strength of the lid across a central region thereof. Specifically, the lid can have an outer perimeter and the ribs can be spaced inwardly from the outer perimeter. The inwardly spaced ribs can provide a distinct look for consumer differentiation. Additionally, the ribs can be arcuate so that they generally follow a curvature of the outer perimeter of the lid. As such, a label region within the lid central region is preserved, while the lid is still strengthened by the ribs.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Michele M.
