  • Publication number: 20210327010
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for geo-spatial analysis to determine boundaries of traffic regions and classifications of the boundaries for controlling drop-off/pick-up traffic. A determination is made of drop-off/pick-up points for vehicles in traffic regions in which vehicles dropped-off and/or picked-up passengers. Geo-spatial cluster analysis is applied to the determined drop-off/pick-up points to determine boundaries of the traffic regions having drop-off/pick-up points forming clusters of similar drop-off/pick-up point densities. A determination is made of a respective classification for each respective one of the boundaries. Each respective classification indicates a relative density of drop-off/pick-up points in its respective boundary relative to densities of drop-off/pick-up points in other one of the boundaries. Classification related information based on the determined classifications is communicated to use to control drop-off/pick-up traffic in the traffic regions.

  • Publication number: 20210313010
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for designing a digital PCR (dPCR) experiment is provided. The method includes receiving, from a user, a selection of optimization type. The optimization type may be maximizing the dynamic range, minimizing the number of substrates including reaction sites needed for the experiment, determining a dilution factor, or determining the lower limit of detection, for example. The method further includes receiving, from the user, a precision measure for an experiment, and a minimum concentration of a target in a reaction site for the experiment. The method also includes determining a set of dPCR experiment design factors for the experiment based on the optimization type. The set of dPCR experiment design factors is then displayed to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210294849
Abstract: A user selects a data source, and a computer displays a data visualization in a data visualization user interface according to the data source. The data visualization includes visual data marks representing data from the data source. The user selects a subset of the visual data marks. In response, the computer displays a view data window having a summary of the selected data marks. The computer obtains a data model encoding the data source as a tree of logical tables. The computer identifies aggregate measures corresponding to the selected data marks, where each aggregate measure is aggregated from logical tables of the data model. The computer displays each aggregate measure in the view data window. The computer also displays, in the view data window, one or more level of detail calculations referenced in the selected subset of visual data marks.

  • Patent number: 11103138
Abstract: A method of monitoring a patient's foot forms a thermogram of the sole of at least one foot of the patient, and determines whether the thermogram presents at least one of a plurality of prescribed patterns. The method also compares the thermogram against a prior thermogram of the same foot, and produces output information indicating the emergence of an ulcer on a given portion on the at least one foot as a function of 1) whether the thermogram is determined to present the at least one pattern, and 2) the comparison with the prior thermogram, which shows non-ulcerated tissue at the given location.

  • Patent number: 11029762
Abstract: A system and method for using an augmented reality interface to adjust the results from a dimensioning system are disclosed. The augmented reality interface allows users to easily correct dimensioning errors, improve dimensioning results, and guide dimensioning analysis. In one embodiment, the user may adjust/select the results via hand gesturing/positioning within the system's field of view. In another embodiment, the user may use virtual tools, enabled by hand gesturing/positioning, to adjust the results. In still another embodiment, the user may shine a light into the system's field of view to adjust the results. The augmented reality interface embraced by the present invention provides the user with an easier, more-intuitive means for interacting with dimensioning system results.

  • Patent number: 10884059
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the integrity of metrology systems are provided. A method according to one implementation includes the step of storing, with a computer having a system clock, an initialization time at which a device is connected to the computer. The method also includes receiving, with the computer, information obtained by the device and associating an electronic timestamp to the information. The electronic timestamp is based on the system clock when the computer receives the information obtained by the device. The method also includes counting clock cycles to determine an elapsed time from the initialization time to the time when the computer receives the information obtained by the device. Also, the method determines if the system clock has been altered by comparing the electronic timestamp to the sum of the initialization time and the elapsed time.

  • Publication number: 20200391860
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to systems and methods for deploying an outboard rotor blade of proprotor pylon to act as an extended lifting surface. Blade control actuators may provide primary rotor flight control as well as providing fold linkage actuation when fold locks are disengaged. During cruise flight, the blade control actuator may provide feathering inputs to the extended rotor blade, wherein the amplitude and frequency of feathering inputs are tuned to mitigate undesirable wing and fuselage dynamic modes thereby enhancing aircraft stability. The deployed rotor blades also improve the total lifting area of the aircraft, which may increase aircraft range and efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20200352277
Abstract: An athlete in any athletic event generates forces on and subjects their lower extremities to forces which are unique to that athlete's mass, speed and strength. These forces are also affected by the composition of the playing field surface, shoe design and construction and other factors. It is possible to determine, according to these factors, the level of force above which injury to the athlete's lower extremities is inevitable—the pre-injury force threshold. This pre-injury force threshold is then used to design and build an athletic shoe which will provide a force-mitigating deformation induced by forces equal to the particular athlete's pre-injury force threshold. This deformation of the athletic shoe prevents injury to the athlete's lower extremities. This deformation may be induced by designing the sole of an athletic shoe with specifically engineered incised cut-outs or channels in the athletic shoe sole.
