    Abstract: A system for maintaining relative orientation of optical fibers in an array is provided. Fibers extend parallel and include a first fiber and an adjacent fiber. The system includes a fiber holder with alignment holes configured to receive stripped fiber sections. The alignment holes extend from the first surface to the second surface, and the alignment holes include a first alignment hole configured to receive a stripped fiber section of the first fiber and an adjacent alignment hole configured to receive a stripped fiber section of the adjacent fiber. The fiber holder has a wall separating the first alignment hole and the adjacent alignment hole that permits rotation of the stripped fiber section of the adjacent fiber in the adjacent alignment hole without causing rotation of the stripped fiber section of the first fiber in the first alignment hole.

    Abstract: A method of electrically grounding a rotor shaft of an electric motor includes removing a first lockplate fastener from a motor endshield and an internal bearing lockplate. A second lockplate fastener remains coupled to the motor endshield and internal bearing lockplate such that the internal bearing lockplate stays secured along an interior side of the motor endshield. A mounting plate of a shaft ground assembly is positioned along an exterior side of the motor endshield. The mounting plate supports a shaft ground that includes a conductive element configured to electrically couple to the rotor shaft. The first lockplate fastener is replaced with a first mounting plate fastener coupled to the mounting plate, motor endshield, and bearing lockplate to secure the mounting plate to the endshield and to secure the bearing lockplate along the interior side of the motor endshield.

    Abstract: Disclosed are recyclable flexible package and a method of recycling such packages. The flexible package includes a hollow body defining an interior chamber for holding an oxygen sensitive product. The body is formed of a laminated film formed of two layers of a single polymer material, e.g., polyethylene, and at least one interposed barrier layer, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, that is resistant to the passage of oxygen therethrough and which is water-soluble. The single polymer constitutes at least 95% by weight of the laminated film, whereupon the package is suitable for recycling without requiring separation of the materials thereof by shredding the laminated film and subjecting those pieces to an aqueous wash to dissolve the barrier layer.

An ultrasound probe may include a transducer array that may have one or more degrees of freedom of movement within the probe. The transducer array may be translated by one or more motors that receive instructions from the controller to position the aperture.

An in-situ pre-blast model of an ore deposit to be mined, movement data, blast design and explosive loading information, and post-blast topographic data are input in to the memory of a general purpose computer. Using the pre-blast block model, movement data, blast design and explosive loading information, and post-blast topographic data a three-dimensional vector field is generated. The method uses the three-dimensional vector field to move a plurality of centroids of the in-situ block model to populate a three-dimensional post-blast location. Then method optimizes the populated three dimensional post-blast location to determine a plurality of sets of optimal dig boundaries.

The stock inventory processing device determines a restocking value based on whether the historic daily sales value exceeds the stock inventory value. The stock inventory processing device transmits a second indication to the mobile inventory processing device. The second indication correspond to insufficient shelf stock of the perishable item. The mobile inventory processing device receives the second indication and outputs an auditory alert in response to the second indication.
