  • Patent number: 10124654
Abstract: A windshield assembly includes a lower panel section pivotally connected to an upper panel section. The assembly is movable between an extended position, in which both sections are fully extended and substantially co-planar, and a pivoted position, in which the upper section is pivoted down to rest on top of the lower section. A pair of magnets are positioned on the upper section proximate the top edge of the upper section, and a second pair of complementary magnets or members made of a material that is magnetically attracted to the first pair of magnets are positioned on the lower section proximate the bottom edge of the lower section. When in the pivoted position, the magnets on the upper section engage the lower section magnets, thereby keeping the upper section secured on the lower section and preventing unwanted movement of the upper section as the golf car travels.

  • Publication number: 20180165475
Abstract: A relational database is transformed so as to obfuscate secure and/or private aspects of data contained in the database, while preserving salient elements of the data to facilitate data analysis. A restructured database is generatively modeled, and the model is sampled to create synthetic data that maintains sufficiently similar (or the same) mathematical properties and relations as the original data stored in the database. In one example, various statistics at the intersection of related database tables are determined by modeling data using an iterative multivariate approach. Synthetic data may be sampled from any part of the modeled database, wherein the synthesized data is “realistic” in that it statistically mimics the original data in the database. The generation of such synthetic data allows publication of bulk data freely and on-demand (e.g., for data analysis purposes), without the risk of security/privacy breaches.

  • Publication number: 20180108440
Abstract: Predictive healthcare systems utilize the signal produced by physiological and, in some embodiments, environmental sensors to infer, computationally, a physiological parameter of the patient. The physiological sensors may include a vibro-acoustic sensor in contact with a patient over at least the frequency band 0.001 Hz to 40 kHz and a bio-electric sensor. The physiological parameter may be the magnitude or existence of an internal process, such as blood flow; the presence of a biomarker; or the existence or likelihood of a disease. In some embodiments, the computational inference is based on additional data such as the patient's position and orientation and/or historical health information of the patient.
