  • Publication number: 20170206776
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the adaptive detection of audio alarms. A system comprises a microphone configured to receive a series of sounds, a memory configured to store a defined set of alarm templates, a communications network interface, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive and analyze sounds for alarm or background sound characteristics and compare them to a defined set of alarm templates stored in the memory. If not contained in the defined set of alarm templates previously stored in the memory, new alarm templates are learned and stored. An alert is then transmitted to a client device that an audio alarm has been recognized.

  • Patent number: 9674965
Abstract: Utilizing a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) for assembling an electronic device can have certain benefits, such as ease of automation and instant handling or short handling time that may save time, effort, and costs during manufacturing. A liquid adhesive, on the other hand, can provide superior bond strength relative to a PSA such that a device manufactured using a liquid adhesive may perform better with respect to structural rigidity, dynamic response, impact resistance, and other reliability testing. An electronic device manufacturer can take advantage of the benefits of each type of adhesive during device assembly by incorporating both a PSA and a liquid adhesive to bond two substrates of the device, such as a cover glass or sheet and a housing structure or frame.

  • Publication number: 20170094227
Abstract: A three-dimensional spatial-awareness vision system includes video sensor system(s) mounted to a monitoring platform and having a field of view to monitor a scene of interest and provide real-time video data corresponding to real-time video images. A memory stores model data associated with a rendered three-dimensional virtual representation of the monitoring platform. An image processor combines the real-time video data and the model data to generate image data comprising the rendered three-dimensional virtual representation of the monitoring platform and the real-time video images of the scene of interest superimposed at a field of view relative to the rendered three-dimensional virtual representation of the monitoring platform.

  • Patent number: 9599667
Abstract: The various technologies presented herein relate to utilizing visible light in conjunction with a thinned structure to enable characterization of operation of one or more features included in an integrated circuit (IC). Short wavelength illumination (e.g., visible light) is applied to thinned samples (e.g., ultra-thinned samples) to achieve a spatial resolution for laser voltage probing (LVP) analysis to be performed on smaller technology node silicon-on-insulator (SOI) and bulk devices. Thinning of a semiconductor material included in the IC (e.g., backside material) can be controlled such that the thinned semiconductor material has sufficient thickness to enable operation of one or more features comprising the IC during LVP investigation.

  • Patent number: 9487157
Abstract: A display assembly for a vehicle includes an electronic display and a rod coupled to the electronic display. A guide defines a slot which receives the rod. The rod is movable along the slot from a first position to a second position. An energy absorption element is disposed along the slot and is deformable by the rod when the rod moves from the first position to the second position. During a frontal impact of the vehicle, a head of an occupant may contact the display assembly and may move the rod from the first position to the second position, during which movement the energy absorption element absorbs energy.

  • Publication number: 20160318376
Abstract: A windshield assembly comprises a lower panel section pivotally connected to an upper panel section. The assembly is movable between an extended position, in which both sections are fully extended and substantially co-planar, and a pivoted position, in which the upper section is pivoted down to rest on top of the lower section. A pair of magnets are positioned on the upper section proximate the top edge of the upper section, and a second pair of complementary magnets or members made of a material that is magnetically attracted to the first pair of magnets are positioned on the lower section proximate the bottom edge of the lower section. When in the pivoted position, the magnets on the upper section engage the lower section magnets, thereby keeping the upper section secured on the lower section and preventing unwanted movement of the upper section as the golf car travels.

The guide catheter may be designed to guide a therapeutic catheter to a target site. A guidewire may be disposed within the lumen of the guide catheter. The system may also include a trap balloon catheter including a catheter shaft and a balloon coupled to the catheter shaft. The trap balloon catheter may be designed to extend through the lumen of the guide catheter to a position adjacent to the distal end of the guide catheter. A trap balloon retainer may be coupled to the catheter shaft. The trap balloon retainer may be designed to prevent a distal end of the trap balloon catheter from extending distally beyond the distal end of the guide catheter.
