  • Patent number: 7719581
Abstract: An active pixel sensor array sampling system includes a plurality of video circuits and reset circuits. A video circuit generates a video voltage from each one of the pixels of a column of pixels. An associated reset circuit generates a reset voltage for each of the pixels of a column of pixels. The video circuits and the reset circuits are closed loop sample and hold circuits. The active pixel sensor array is integrated on an integrated circuit.

  • Publication number: 20100027769
Abstract: A proactive repository stores authenticated information regarding Entities and their properties. A set of conditions and policies is associated with the information in the repository. These conditions govern the release of information to an authorized recipient. Release conditions include various forms of activation, such as activation of emergency services dispatch, a change in condition of a public utility, a change in geophysical or meteorological conditions, etc. At least one responsible third party can authenticate Entities, agents agencies and the like, validate associated credentials, and store received information in the repository. A first proactive repository can be stored within a second proactive repository. A proactive repository can provide the facilities of a multi-modal notification delivery system.

  • Patent number: 7643133
Abstract: An air cargo power drive unit has a motor, at least one driver roller element coupled to said motor, a light source, a light detector, and a processor having memory associated therewith, said memory storing instructions. The device is configured to emit light from the light source, receive reflected light from the light detector when an air cargo is overhead, and convert the detected light into a time series of a digital samples representing a time-varying intensity of the received light. The processor then performs calculations on the digital samples to determine whether the unit load device is moving. This determination may be based, for instance, on spikes among the digital samples, and/or on first, second, or even higher-order, statistics of the detected samples.

  • Publication number: 20090288030
Abstract: A method of assigning tasks is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes displaying, on a user interface, one or more representations of tasks and a calendar of dates, each representation being indicative of a task to be completed. The method also includes receiving a user input indicative of a selected date from the calendar of dates and receiving a user input indicative of a selected representation of the one or more representations. The selected representation corresponds to a selected task. The selected date is assigned to the selected task. Further, the method also includes displaying on the user interface a list of constituents as a function of the selected date, receiving a user input indicative of a selected one or more constituents from the list, and assigning the selected one or more constituents to the selected task.

  • Publication number: 20080071913
Abstract: A method, system, and software associated with a client-server communication architecture in which there is a server and one or more clients. A client of the one or more clients communicates the client's time zone value to the server over a communication path and during a communication session between the client and the server. The time-zone value is so communicated through options negotiations between the client and the server. The negotiated time-zone value is stored in a storage area of a computer system that includes the server.

  • Patent number: 7114013
Abstract: The intelligent data storage manager functions to combine the non-homogeneous physical devices contained in a data storage subsystem to create a logical device with new and unique quality of service characteristics that satisfy the criteria for the policies appropriate for the present data object. In particular, if there is presently no logical device that is appropriate for use in storing the present data object, the intelligent data storage manager defines a new logical device using existing physical and/or logical device definitions as component building blocks to provide the appropriate characteristics to satisfy the policy requirements. The intelligent data storage manager uses weighted values that are assigned to each of the presently defined logical devices to produce a best fit solution to the requested policies in an n-dimensional best fit matching algorithm.
