  • Publication number: 20220292575
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a computer-implemented method and system for generating personalized recommendations for a target user based at least on stored data about the target user. The method comprises obtaining, at the server computer, data from a plurality of data sources, including entity data associated with a plurality of entities, stored in an entity database, or personal data associated with a plurality of users, stored in a user database. The personalized recommendations system then merges the entity data or personal data and maps the entity or personal data to a corresponding entity or target user, respectively. The entity or personal data is differentiated, a relevance is determined, a weight is assigned to the data and corresponding source to canonicalize the data, the respective databases are updated with the corresponding data, and then a set of personalized recommendations to the target user is generated using the updated databases.

  • Patent number: 11365815
Abstract: A system for converting operation of a valve between an unbalanced operation mode and a balanced operation mode includes a housing adapted to couple to a valve body. The system also includes a lower stem, including lugs, the lugs having a lug diameter that is larger than an adjacent lower stem diameter. The system further includes a valve member nut coupled to a valve member, the valve member nut having an opening to receive the lower stem, and pins extending into the opening, the pins forming a reduced diameter portion of the opening. In the system, the lower stem couples to the valve member, via the valve member nut, when the lugs are axially aligned with the reduced diameter portion and the lower stem decouples from the valve member when the lugs are axially misaligned with the reduced diameter portion.

  • Patent number: 11357928
Abstract: A medical waste disposal and container washing system includes loading and unloading stations, the loading station configured for placing a medical waste container on a conveyor system. An inversion station is located downstream along the conveyor system, operable to reorient the container from a first orientation in which medical waste is retained to a second orientation in which the medical waste is discharged from the medical waste container by gravity as the medical waste container is moved within the inversion station. A first wash station along the conveyor system washes an interior of the container that has been reoriented. A second wash station is located downstream along the conveyor system.

  • Patent number: 11361255
Abstract: Graphical interactive model selection is provided. A response variable vector for each value of a group variable and an explanatory variable vector are defined. A wavelet function is fit to the explanatory variable vector paired with the response variable vector defined for each value of the group variable. Each fit wavelet function defines coefficients for each value of the group variable. A curve is presented for each value of the group variable and is defined by the plurality of coefficients of an associated fit wavelet function. An indicator is received of a request to perform functional analysis using the coefficients for each value of the of the group variable based on a predefined factor variable. A model is trained using the coefficients for each value of the group variable and a factor variable value associated with each observation vector of each plurality of observation vectors as a model effect.

  • Patent number: 11201907
Abstract: Methods and systems provide indirect and temporary access to a company's IT infrastructure and business applications. The methods/systems involve establishing an access control center (ACC) to control the access that technical support personnel may have to the company's IT infrastructure and business applications. Thin client terminals with limited functionality may then be set up in the ACC for use by the technical support personnel. The thin client terminals connect the technical support personnel to workstations outside the ACC that operate as virtual desktops. The virtual desktops in turn connect the technical support personnel to the IT infrastructure and business applications. An ACC application may be used to automatically establish the connection between the thin client terminals and the virtual desktops and the virtual desktops and the IT infrastructure and business applications.

  • Patent number: 11047505
Abstract: A quick connect coupling mechanism joins an actuator to a bonnet. The quick connect coupling mechanism may utilize machined or otherwise prepared components including one or more specific features, such as slots or grooves, to facilitate a connection between the actuator and the bonnet. For example, the actuator housing may be machined or formed to include an opening to enable radial insertion of the bonnet into a slot formed circumferentially about at least a portion of the actuator housing. The opening may be secured to block radial movement of the bonnet within the housing. A rail system may also be utilized to couple the actuator housing to the bonnet. For example, pairs of grooves may be formed in the actuator housing and bonnet to facilitate insertion of rails. The rails may block both axial movement of the actuator housing and also block rotational movement.

  • Publication number: 20210149891
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for evaluating entities for a target user, the method comprising obtaining, at a server computer, entity data from a plurality of data sources. The entity data is then stored in an entity database. The method further comprises merging the entity data from the plurality of data sources, mapping the entity data to a corresponding entity, and differentiating the entity. Then a relevance is determined associated with the entity data and data source. The method further comprises generating a set of entity evaluations to the target user using the relevance, determining a set of one or more entities relevant to the primary user based on the entity data, user data, and the relevance, with an initial order of relevance, and displaying, on a user device, the set of relevant entities to the target user in the order of relevance.

  • Patent number: 10963804
Abstract: Graphical interactive prediction evaluation is provided. An extrapolation threshold value is computed using an extrapolation threshold function with an explanatory variable value of each of a plurality of explanatory variables read for each observation vector of a plurality of observation vectors. A model is fit to the observation vectors. Model results are presented in a display that include a first value for each explanatory variable. An indicator of a second value of at least one of the explanatory variables that is different from the first value is received. An extrapolation value is computed using an extrapolation function with the second value and the first value of others of the explanatory variables. The extrapolation value is compared to the extrapolation threshold value. An extrapolation indicator is presented in the display when the comparison indicates that the second value is an extrapolation.
