Abstract: A valve and adapter for coupling a tubing to the valve. The adapter has first and second adapter end portion with connected fluid passageways. The second adapter end portion being insertable into the free-end portion of the tubing. A valve housing has a first chamber sized to receive the first adapter end portion and a second chamber has inward and outward fluid ports. When the first adapter end portion is positioned within the first chamber, an outer end portion of its fluid passageway is in fluid communication with the inward fluid port of the second chamber. A seal and gripper ring within the first chamber seal with and releasably grip the first adapter end portion. A valve element selectively control fluid flow between the first and second fluid passageways. The adapter may be used with a test cap and other fittings which include a seal and a gripper ring.

Abstract: A door handle assembly includes a bracket having a retention feature, an end cap connected to the bracket, and a handle pivotally connected to the bracket and moveable between a closed position and an open position, the handle having a pivot arm disposed within the bracket, the pivot arm having a pivot point and a lower portion, wherein the pivot arm engages the bracket and the lower portion is disposed on a side of the pivot point opposite the handle. The retention feature engages the lower portion when the handle is in the closed position and applies a force on the pivot arm in a rearward direction to maintain a gap distance between the handle and the end cap.

Fuel uplift personnel enter data and information concerning fuel uplift operations on a handheld device or other computer device and data, information, and other information generated by the fuel uplift service, system and application is transmitted to servers which store, process and generate information and documents based at least in part on the transmitted information. The servers allow authorized and authenticated users to store, access and/or retrieve data and information from one or more databases, information including, for example, information concerning stakeholders/clients, volume data, sales invoice data, inventory level data, purchase record data and information, and service record data and information.

Abstract: A truck bed guard is provided that includes an undulating protective panel having a plurality of longitudinally aligned bends that forms at least one groove and at least one protrusion configured to increase impact resistance. A first flange extends transversely from the top of the panel to provide a first attachment feature, and a second flange extends vertically down beneath the panel to provide a second attachment feature. The guard may be attached to a bed wall of a truck via the first attachment feature and the second attachment feature. A gap between the undulating protective panel and the bed wall is configured to prevent damage to the bed wall. The truck bed guard provides impact resistance to protect the bed wall from objects transported in the truck bed.

Abstract: A cableless seismic acquisition system that is configured to resolve the locations of a plurality of cableless seismic acquisition units (e.g., up to 1,000,000 or more) of the system at sub-meter levels of accuracy (e.g., less than 10 cm, less than 5 cm, etc.) free of many of the limitations of existing manners of determining cableless unit locations in seismic acquisition systems. While accurately determining cableless unit locations for use in mapping underground structures of interest, the disclosed cableless seismic acquisition system also limits power demands of and ultimately power consumption by the cableless units to extend serviceable deployment time of the cableless acquisition system.

While engaged, the coupling is configured to rotate to drive a Variable Area Fan Nozzle (VAFN), at least a portion of which is on a translating portion of a thrust reverser of an aircraft. Furthermore, while engaged the coupling is configured to prevent displacement of the translating portion.

Abstract: A system, whereby a user can designate search results in terms of relevancy. These designations are used to alter the search process itself. In the preferred embodiments, each piece of data returned by the search engine has associated Search Refinement Buttons. As the user chooses what is relevant or not, the system generates a database of information that refines the original search result. The result is thereby targeted toward the user's desires.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns an airflow baffle system and sealing system which effectively seals an articulating hood, such as for a wheel loader, for more efficient routing of cooling air and exhaust air. The articulating hood may have multiple hinges connecting the hood to the motor vehicle. For example, a rear hinge or set of hinges may allow upward and rearward rotation of the entire hood, while a second set of hinges atop the hood may allow for upward and forward rotation of only a portion of the hood when quicker access to only a portion of the engine compartment is required.

Abstract: A protection device for a towed vehicle. The protection device includes a moveable support. The moveable support is adapted to be coupled with a towing vehicle member. A fixed support is adapted to be coupled with a towed vehicle member. A flexible material is coupled between the moveable support and the fixed supports. A biasing device is coupled with the moveable support. The biasing device allows the moveable support to move and maintains the flexible material in a taut condition.

Abstract: An auxiliary braking device for use in a towed vehicle has an actuator with a moving element that connects via a cable or the like to a brake pedal arm of the towed vehicle. A pulley or similar redirection device is located in the space behind the brake pedal arm with the cable being routed from the actuator to the brake pedal arm via the pulley ensuring that the line of pull on the brake pedal arm is in the direction of the brake pedal's normal movement. The actuator may be a pneumatic actuator that is controlled by pressurized air from an air compressor of a controller.

Abstract: A system comprising a thong-shaped holder for holding an absorbent article in close bodily contact in the pudendal region of the wearer. The holder comprises a front region, a crotch region having a specified Crotch Holding Force, and a rear region. The crotch region of the holder typically is elastically extensible in both the longitudinal and lateral directions. The holder provides an upward holding force against the absorbent article in the crotch region to hold the article in close bodily contact. A method for holding such an article in close bodily contact by wearing the holder is also disclosed.

The diaper includes a front region, a crotch region having a specified Crotch Holding Force, and a rear region. The crotch region of the diaper typically is elastically extensible in both the longitudinal and lateral directions. The diaper provides an upward holding force against the absorbent article in the crotch region to hold the article in close bodily contact. The invention includes a system including the diaper and an absorbent article for use therewith, and a method for holding such an article in close bodily contact by wearing the diaper.

Abstract: According to an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus for guiding a document includes a curved, document guide having a receiving end and an outgoing end. The receiving end is adapted to receive a moving document. The curved document guide is to guide the document along a curved path such that the document experiences a centrifugal force causing the document to substantially flatten against a concave surface of the curved document guide as the document moves toward the outgoing end of the curved document guide. At least a portion of the curved document guide has a radius of curvature. The curved document guide further includes an apex of the curvature at which one or more instruments are approximately directed.

Abstract: Systems for dynamic reallocation of bandwidth and modulation protocols is provided. In one embodiment, a radio head interface module comprises: a transmit buffer adapted to receive a data stream from a signal processing module and store the data stream as a page of data samples having a page header; a transmit engine; a digital upconverter, the transmit engine adapted to transfer the page of data samples from the transmit buffer to the digital upconverter; a configuration management unit adapted to receive reconfiguration information from the signal processing module, the reconfiguration information including at least one of air interface protocol parameters and bandwidth allocation information; and a memory adapted with digital upconverter parameters. The configuration management unit is accesses the memory to lookup associated digital upconverter parameters based on the reconfiguration information.
