  • Patent number: 7574234
Abstract: System and methods for the dynamic readjustment of power are provided. In one embodiment a communications system comprises a base station including one or more radio head interface modules and a signal processing module, the radio head interface modules adapted to communicate with the signal processing module. The signal processing module performs modulation and demodulation of voice and data streams using one or more air interface protocols. The system further comprises a radio head unit coupled to the radio head interface modules over one or more transport mediums. The radio head unit communicates with one or more subscriber units using the air interface protocols. The radio head interface modules receive power level adjustment parameters from the signal processing module for one or more logical channels. The one or more radio head interface modules reconfigure a signal gain of one or more communications channels based on the power level adjustment parameters.

  • Patent number: 7539509
Abstract: An apparatus for gain distribution in a system comprising a plurality of distributed antennas and a total system dynamic range is disclosed. The apparatus includes means for sensing a signal level at each of the plurality of distributed antennas, means for comparing at least one of the plurality of signal levels with a dynamic range fair share threshold, and means for attenuating each of the at least one of the compared signal levels that is greater than the dynamic range fair share threshold with a gain factor that is determined in response to a remaining portion of the total system dynamic range after attenuation of other signal levels of the plurality of signal levels.

  • Patent number: 7510183
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for facing documents during high speed processing. The present invention employs at least one sensor to scan the documents individually as they are fed sequentially through a processing machine. The sensor determines the direction the documents are facing. Depending on the direction the documents are facing, a path selector directs the documents to one of two equal length paths within the processing machine. If a document is facing up, the path selector directs the document along a first path that leads directly to a collection point. If a document is facing down, the path selector directs the document along a second path that includes a twisted conveyor belt which turns the document about the longitudinal axis to face up. The second path meets with the first path, wherein the conveyor belt reinserts the faced documents back into the same sequential position that the document was in relative to the other documents before being diverted by the path selector.
