    Abstract: In a power control method in a wireless local area network, a beamformer sends a null data packet (NDP) via a plurality of spatial streams to beamformees. After receiving the NDP, a beamformee determines a first parameter for power control based on RSSIs of a plurality of receive antennas when the beamformee receives the NDP, or based on SNRs of a plurality of spatial streams when the beamformee receives the NDP. The beamformee then generates a beamforming report comprising the first parameter, and sends the beamforming report to the beamformer.

The first MU-RTS frame and the second MU-RTS frame use a same scrambling code initialization value. Based on the foregoing solution, an AP may indicate, to a plurality of STAs by using a plurality of MU-RTS frames, channels for replying CTS frames. The AP may indicate the first MU-RTS frame and the second MU-RTS frame to use the same scrambling code initialization value.

    Abstract: A super-resolution X-ray shadowgraph system includes an X-ray source, a sample stage, an X-ray detector and an image reconstruction device, which are arranged in sequence. Geometric centers of the X-ray source, the sample stage and the X-ray detector are collinear. The geometric center of the sample stage is provided with a through hole for placing a testing sample, the X-ray source is used for providing X-rays, and the X-rays penetrate the sample stage to form an image on the X-ray detector. The image reconstruction device is used for acquiring the image and performing an image reconstruction on the image to obtain a new image. The shadowgraph system and the imaging method therefor can overcome a deficiency of a lower resolution of the image limited by a size of the source, thereafter obtaining a clear shadowgraph with a high resolution.

The insertion frequency of the middle preamble in the data field is indicated by using a specified field in the preamble. In this way, in different scenarios, the middle preamble may be inserted into the data field at different frequency, thereby reducing overheads of an inserted pilot and improving data transmission performance.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for energy generation from salinity gradients using asymmetrically porous electrodes. In certain embodiments, an energy generation system includes at least one pair of asymmetrically porous electrodes positioned within a chamber in selective fluidic communication with a freshwater source (e.g., a river) and a saltwater source (e.g., an ocean). Asymmetry between a first average percent volume per unit pore-width of a first electrode and a second average percent volume per unit pore-width of a second electrode creates differing interfacial potentials between the first electrode and the second electrode when such electrodes are immersed in freshwater and saltwater. By cyclically immersing the electrodes in freshwater and saltwater, energy is harvested from Gibbs free energy from mixing saltwater and freshwater. Such a system does not require a membrane or an external charge source. Methods of generating energy using asymmetrically porous electrodes are also provided.
