In the embodiments of this application, the RU used by the first device to actually transmit the EHT TB PPDU can be indicated. The technical solution provided in this application may be applied to an 802.11ax Wi-Fi system, an 802.11be Wi-Fi system, or the like.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) transmission method and a related apparatus. The method includes: generating a PPDU, where the PPDU includes a universal signal field (U-SIG), and the U-SIG includes a subfield indicating that the PPDU is a null data packet (NDP); and sending the PPDU. In this way, a beamformee (Bfee) that receives the NDP can identify the NDP earlier. This helps improve efficiency of reading the NDP by the Bfee. The PPDU is an NDP used for a standard after 802.11ax. In a scenario in which wireless communication is performed by using the standard (for example, 802.11be) after 802.11ax, the Bfee can perform channel estimation based on the NDP.

    Abstract: This application is applicable to a multi-link group addressed traffic transmission method and an apparatus. A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) sends group addressed traffic indication information indicating whether each AP of other APs of the AP MLD has a group addressed traffic, so that a station (STA) can learn whether the multiple APs have a group addressed traffic. In this way, each STA of the STA MLD does not need to listen to each AP whether each AP has a group addressed traffic. This reduces power consumption of the STA MLD.     Abstract: This application discloses a data transmission method that includes: scrambling to-be-transmitted data, to obtain scrambled data; and sending the scrambled data to a receive device. The initialization bits of a scrambler used to scramble the data include a first bit sequence and a second bit sequence. The first bit sequence is carried in a service field of the to-be-transmitted data, the second bit sequence reuses a bit in a signal field of a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), and the quantity of the initialization bits is equal to the order of the scrambler. In embodiments of this application, when the transmit device and the receive device use the scrambler with a higher order than that in the conventional technology, the initialization bits of the scrambler are based on bits in an existing service field used for data scrambling and reused bits in some signal fields.
