  • Publication number: 20120140647
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that involve communicating in bursty noise environments. For instance, a source device may send a probing packet to a destination device. This probing packet is for determining whether the communications medium (e.g., one or more frequency channels) is currently exhibiting a busy or jammed (e.g., due to bursty noise) condition. More particularly, based on whether an acknowledgment of the probing packet is received, the source device determines whether the channel is jammed (or busy) or clear. For example, an unacknowledged probing packet indicates that the channel is jammed or busy, while an acknowledged probing packet indicates that the channel is clear. If the channel is determined to be clear, then the source device may transmit one or more data packets to the destination device. Such data packet transmissions may be in accordance with a non rate-adaptive technique.

  • Publication number: 20120108174
Abstract: Techniques are described that can be used to perform one or more of the following actions in order to reduce signal interference between WLAN and BlueTooth radios that are proximate to one another. One action is to selectively reduce a filter bandwidth in a WLAN radio applied to a received WLAN radio signal to reduce BlueTooth signal interference. An additional or alternative action is to selectively indicate a WLAN radio channel bandwidth larger than a channel bandwidth used for the WLAN radio so that the BlueTooth radio avoids transmitting over the indicated channel bandwidth. An additional or alternative action is to selectively reduce BlueTooth transmitter power in response to antenna isolation between BT and WLAN radio being less than a first threshold in order to reduce the likelihood of WLAN radio front end saturation.

  • Publication number: 20100279164
Abstract: An electronic device includes a main body, a holder, a battery cover, a button and a resilient member. The main body defines an opening and a protruding hole. The holder is fixed to the main body. The battery cover is coupled to the main body and forms a catching tab. The button is slidably positioned between the main body and the holder. The button includes a latching tab. One end of the resilient member resists the holder or the main body, and the other end resists the button. The catching tab of the battery cover protrudes in the protruding hole to engage with the latching tab of the button, and part of the button exposes out of the main body via the opening.

  • Patent number: 7752332
Abstract: Routing in a wireless network of communication devices that are located within a network boundary moves network traffic from a first communication device to a second communication device. A geometric indicator of network connectivity is constructed that identifies a curve on which network nodes are located and a network location for each node of the wireless network is determined, so that the network location of a node p identifies a node on the geometric indicator curve that is closest to the node p and indicates connectivity from the node p to the closest node of the geometric indicator curve. A routing scheme is determined, to route in the wireless network from the first communication device to the second communication device based on the respective determined network locations for the first and second communication devices.
