Abstract: A drain plug assembly that has particular application for sealing a drain hole in a battery compartment on a vehicle. The plug assembly includes a plug that inserted into the drain hole and a cover covering the plug. The plug assembly also includes a first shape memory alloy (SMA) wire having ends attached to the cover and a middle portion attached to the plug and a second SMA wire having ends attached to the cover and a middle portion attached to the plug. The plug assembly also includes a mechanical hinge attached to the plug and the cover, wherein the first SMA wire is actuated to flip the hinge to position the plug in a closed position to close the drain hole and the second SMA wire is actuated to flip the hinge to position the plug in an open position to open the drain hole.

A user device may detect, by an RFID tag, a signal from a wireless display device. As a result, the user device may transmit, by the RFID tag to the wireless display device, radio communication information. To this end, the user device and the wireless display device may establish a radio connection. Using the radio connection, the user device may receive wireless display connection information from the wireless display device. The user device may establish, using wireless display connection information, a streaming wireless display connection with the wireless display device.

The second arm assembly includes two arms and two intermediate members. Each intermediate member is secured to an end of one of the two arms. Each intermediate member defines a receiving recess. Each receiving recess has a spherical inner circumferential surface. Each ball is partially received in one of the two receiving recesses and abuts against the spherical inner circumferential surface. The two arms and the two intermediate members are capable of rotating about the balls. The driving unit drives the balls to move. Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that involve communicating in bursty noise environments. For instance, a source device may send a probing packet to a destination device. This probing packet is for determining whether the communications medium (e.g., one or more frequency channels) is currently exhibiting a busy or jammed (e.g., due to bursty noise) condition. More particularly, based on whether an acknowledgment of the probing packet is received, the source device determines whether the channel is jammed (or busy) or clear. For example, an unacknowledged probing packet indicates that the channel is jammed or busy, while an acknowledged probing packet indicates that the channel is clear. If the channel is determined to be clear, then the source device may transmit one or more data packets to the destination device. Such data packet transmissions may be in accordance with a non rate-adaptive technique.

Abstract: A workpiece separating device for separating workpieces from support sheets includes a lifting unit and a positioning assembly supporting the support sheets with the workpieces adhered. The lifting unit includes a lifting cylinder and two pins raised and lowered by the lifting cylinder. The two pins are raised by the lifting cylinder to push the workpieces, thereby separating the workpieces from the support sheets in turn. A method for separating workpieces from support sheets using the present device is also provided.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for frequency reuse in a wireless relay scenario, wherein a center frequency spectrum, an edge frequency spectrum and a random access frequency spectrum are pre-allocated to a cell according to a scenario parameter in the cell; load conditions of all mobile stations (MSs) covered by each relay station (RS) in the cell is calculated and reported to a base station (BS); the BS allocates the random access frequency spectrum to an RS according to load conditions of all RSs and schedules MSs. The disclosure also provides a system for frequency reuse in a wireless relay scenario. With the method and system above, the frequency spectrum planning is configurable, the random access frequency spectrum is introduced, and both the load balancing and user fairness are taken into consideration, which improves the throughput at the edge of the cell, especially can increase the throughput for the users whose throughput ranks poorly.

Abstract: Manganese oxide nanoparticles having a chemical composition that includes Mn3O4, a sponge like morphology and a particle size from about 65 to about 95 nanometers may be formed by calcining a manganese hydroxide material at a temperature from about 200 to about 400 degrees centigrade for a time period from about 1 to about 20 hours in an oxygen containing environment. The particular manganese oxide nanoparticles with the foregoing physical features may be used within a battery component, and in particular an anode within a lithium battery to provide enhanced performance.
