  • Publication number: 20080266683
Abstract: A lens module includes a base; a focusing ring rotatably mounted to the base and having at least one driving portion formed on a torus thereof, the driving portion having at least two positioning portions and at least one inclined portion in connection with the two positioning portions, the two positioning portions being located at different radial positions of the ring body; and a combination holder being fitted onto the focusing ring to be rotatable on an internal sidewall the focusing ring, the combination holder having at least one convex portion contacting against one of the at least two positioning portions, the combination holder being combined with a lens barrel that a lens set is received. Accordingly, while the focusing ring is rotated, the combination holder is axially moved to change the axial distance between the combination holder and the base, finally attaining the focusing effect.

  • Publication number: 20080224121
Abstract: Systems and methods for devices that include a structure having at least one resonant cavity and at least one emitter having an emission frequency that is substantially in the telecommunication wavelengths are provided. The emission frequency can be coupled to the resonant frequency of resonant cavity so that emitted wavelengths corresponding to the resonant wavelengths of the resonant cavity are enhanced. Moreover, the devices of the present invention may be capable of operating at room temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20080134776
Abstract: A pressure and liquid level sensing system for a tank container or tank vehicle comprising a vessel for containing a liquid substance, such as Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), etc. The pressure and liquid level sensing system comprises a pressure sensor for measuring a gas pressure inside the vessel and a liquid level sensor for measuring a liquid level inside the vessel, the pressure sensor and the liquid level sensor comprises a first and a second pressure sensitive elements and a first and a second printed circuit boards respectively. A circuit on the first printed circuit board converts a pressure signal into an electric signal, a circuit on the second printed circuit board converts pressure signals of a gas-phase space and a liquid-phase space into electric signals of 4-20 mA or 0-10V standard. In this way, the pressure and the liquid level can be accurately measured.

  • Publication number: 20070089164
Abstract: A system and method for providing an alternate keypad arrangement in a virtual keypad is presented. In the alternate keypad arrangement, the virtual keys are laid out in a non-sequential arrangement. In one embodiment, the labels displayed on the virtual keys appear sequential, however the values registered when the user presses the virtual key does not match the label and, hence, the values are laid out in a non-sequential manner. Using alternate keypad arrangements arranged in patterns enables the user to use a common pattern, or patterns easily remembered by the user, for a wide variety of authentication data used to access a wide variety of systems. Rather than remembering the specific PIN codes and passwords, the user simply remembers a pattern and selects virtual keys that match the pattern.

  • Publication number: 20060259597
Abstract: Routing in a wireless network of communication devices that are located within a network boundary moves network traffic from a first communication device to a second communication device. A geometric indicator of network connectivity is constructed that identifies a curve on which network nodes are located and a network location for each node of the wireless network is determined, so that the network location of a node p identifies a node on the geometric indicator curve that is closest to the node p and indicates connectivity from the node p to the closest node of the geometric indicator curve. A routing scheme is determined, to route in the wireless network from the first communication device to the second communication device based on the respective determined network locations for the first and second communication devices.

  • Patent number: 7030875
Abstract: A method of representing spatial relations among objects in the environment uses a Delaunay triangulation as the data structure to store the spatial relations when the objects are represented in the form of simplified objects such as cuboids. The method receives image data corresponding to the environment and recognizes the objects in the image data, and updates the Delaunay triangulation so that the Delaunay triangulation is consistent with the recognized objects. Furthermore, a proximity query can be carried out using the Delaunay triangulation.
