    Abstract: A device includes a voltage source configured to selectively drive a first wire and a second wire with a first voltage level. The device further includes an adjustable current source configured to selectively discharge the first and second wire. The device further includes a control circuit configured to output data and power by way of the first and second wire by selectively coupling the first wire to the voltage source and the second wire to the adjustable current source such that, during a first time period, the first wire has the first voltage level and the second wire has a second voltage level. The data and power is output by also selectively switching the couplings of the first time period such that, during a second time period subsequent to the first time period, the first wire has the second voltage level and the second wire has the first voltage level.

According to the method, undamaged data in a disk array can be obtained when a ultra-redundant bad disk occurs.

    Abstract: Systems and methods detecting onboard sensor tampering are disclosed. According to embodiments, data captured by interior sensors within a vehicle may be analyzed to determine an indication that the activity of the vehicle operator either cannot be sufficiently detected or cannot be sufficiently identified using the captured data (e.g., that the captured data may be compromised). A date and time associated with the indication may be recorded, and a vehicle operator associated with the indication may be identified. A possible cause for the compromised data may be diagnosed, and notification may be generated indicating that the activity of the vehicle operator either cannot be sufficiently detected or cannot be sufficiently identified, and/or the possible cause. Additionally, a recommendation for restoring sensor functionality may be generated for the vehicle operator based the possible cause.

    Abstract: The use of the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm to train a classifier may reduce the amount of classifier training time with little degradation in classifier accuracy. The training involves partitioning the training data for training the classifier into multiple data blocks. The partitions may preserve the joint distribution of input features and an output class of the training data. The training may further include performing an ADMM iteration on the multiple data blocks in an initial order using multiple worker nodes. Subsequently, the training of the classifier is determined to be completed if a stop criterion is satisfied following the ADMM iteration. Otherwise, if the stop criterion is determined to be unsatisfied following the ADMM iteration, one or more additional ADMM iterations may be performed on different orders of the multiple data blocks until the stop criterion is satisfied.
