Some of the metal powder is partially exposed on the surface of the recessed portion. Some of metal powder is partially inserted into the plastic substrate corresponding to the recessed portion. The electronic device housing further includes an antenna layer formed on the recessed portion. The antenna layer is a metal layer. A method for manufacturing the electronic device housing is also disclosed.

    Abstract: An energy-saving and heat preservation device is mainly a heat preservation device for heating device and receptacle. Upper and lower receiving slots opened to outside and opposite to upper and lower ends of a receptacle respectively are provided in the heating device, while a first and a second chambers opposite to each other are provided in the heat preservation device. Energy storage material, which is a reversible phase-change material, is received within the first chamber. A conduit is connected between the first and the second chambers to form an integral connection arrangement. Hence, waste heat generated in the heating process is collected and stored, and is used for heat preservation. Not only the exhausted waste heat, which later becomes heat load of air conditioning apparatus, can be reduced but also power consumption for heat preservation can be lowered.

    Abstract: A speech recognition system trains a plurality of feature transforms and a plurality of acoustic models using an irrelevant variability normalization based discriminative training. The speech recognition system employs the trained feature transforms to absorb or ignore variability within an unknown speech that is irrelevant to phonetic classification. The speech recognition system may then recognize the unknown speech using the trained recognition models. The speech recognition system may further perform an unsupervised adaptation to adapt the feature transforms for the unknown speech and thus increase the accuracy of recognizing the unknown speech.

    Abstract: A welding wire is provided with a hollow section for accommodating flux. The flux has a composition including: Mn:5-20%, Si:1-5%, TiO2:5-25%, SiO2:0.1-10%, Mo:0.1-5% by weight, the balance being iron. When welding low alloy high strength steel by using the welding wire, the slag on the welding bead can be easily cleaned and a smooth surface can be formed on the welding bead which makes it easier to galvanize a zinc layer over the surface of the welding bead. The welding wire provides better welding operation performance and generates less welding spatters.

    Abstract: Hidden Markov Models HMM trajectory tiling (HTT)-based approaches may be used to synthesize speech from text. In operation, a set of Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) and a set of waveform units may be obtained from a speech corpus. The set of HMMs are further refined via minimum generation error (MGE) training to generate a refined set of HMMs. Subsequently, a speech parameter trajectory may be generated by applying the refined set of HMMs to an input text. A unit lattice of candidate waveform units may be selected from the set of waveform units based at least on the speech parameter trajectory. A normalized cross-correlation (NCC)-based search on the unit lattice may be performed to obtain a minimal concatenation cost sequence of candidate waveform units, which are concatenated into a concatenated waveform sequence that is synthesized into speech.
