    Abstract: Pd(II)-catalyzed g-G(sp3)-H arylation or heteroarylation of primary amines is realized by using 2-hydroxynicotinaldehyde as a catalytic transient directing group. Importantly, the catalyst and the directing group loading can be lowered to 2% and 4% respectively, thus demonstrating high efficiency of this newly designed transient directing group. Heterocyclic aryl iodides are also compatible with this reaction. Furthermore, swift synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthyridine derivatives is accomplished using this reaction.

The system for aligning an elongated tool to an occluded target includes an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an angular orientation of the elongated tool relative to a pivot point spaced from the target; a 3-dimensional (3D) imaging device configured to capture a 3D image of the elongated tool and the occluded target; and a processor communicatively coupled with the adjustment mechanism and the 3D imaging device. The processor is configured to process the 3D image received from the 3D imaging device to obtain location data of the target and the pivot point; and based on the location data of the target and the pivot point, control the adjustment mechanism to adjust the angular orientation of the elongated tool relative to the pivot point to align a longitudinal axis of the elongated tool with the target and the pivot point.

High-pressure water is heated to produce high-temperature high-pressure saturated water, and then by using the saturated water explosive device of the present invention, the produced high-temperature high-pressure saturated water instantaneously explodes as being heated, and a high-temperature high-pressure steam flow is produced due to rapid vaporization, and expansion and is used as a power source.
