The generation is performed without having an expected full state of the hardware component.

A temperature measurement device is provided with a temperature sensing portion that senses the temperature of the bare cells, a contact portion connected to the PCM, and a connecting portion through which the temperature sensing portion and the contact portion are connected to each other. A case accommodates the bare cells, the PCM and the temperature measurement device. In the battery pack, the temperature sensing portion is positioned in a space formed between outer circumferential surfaces of bare cells disposed in parallel adjacent to each other. Accordingly, it is possible to improve the quality of the battery.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for driving an icemaker for making ice cubes in a refrigerator. An ice-full state is sensed in such a way as to rotate an ejector and a cam gear in a reverse direction (opposite to an ice-ejecting direction), thereby preventing interference with the ice cubes present in the icemaker and thus enabling the ice-full state to be accurately sensed. A first torsion spring is mounted to an intermediate gear with a small rotation angle ratio to allow only a minimum amount of torque to be transferred to other components such as an ice-detecting lever, thereby increasing the durability of the components and providing a precise rotation force. The axial center of rotation of a second torsion spring is defined at a position that faces the other end (the revolving end) of the ice-detecting lever, to allow a minimum moment to be substantially constantly applied.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical film having an atypical pattern, a method for manufacturing same and a backlight assembly including the optical film. The optical film of the present invention includes: a base layer transmitting light incident from outside; and a pattern layer formed on one or both sides of the base layer, and having a surface structured of a continuously formed polygonal optical pattern having an irregular size and arrangement. Thus, hot-spots and bright lines occurring at a light source and a light entering unit may be prevented. Not only can the pattern density of the optical film be maximized to improve brightness, but strong bright points may be effectively scattered and distributed through the atypical pattern to provide the effect of improved light-shielding ability, thereby contributing to a reduction in the number of expensive optical films used in a backlight assembly and an improvement in brightness.

    Abstract: A door opening/closing device for an ice dispenser is disclosed. The door opening/closing device includes a DC motor 1 which is rotated in forward and reverse directions, a 2-staged spur gear 3 meshed with a worm gear 2 installed on a driving shaft, a 3-staged spur gear 4 meshed with the 2-staged spur gear 3, and a fan-shaped output gear 5 meshed with the 3-staged spur gear 4 and rotated in forward and reverse directions by interconnection of the motor 1 and the gears 2, 3 and 4. If the output gear 5 is rotated in the forward direction, a rod-shaped boss 5a pushes and rotates a link lever 6a to press a coil spring 8 wound around an opening/closing link 6 and thus open a door 7. If the output gear 5 is rotated in the reverse direction, the coil spring 8 is released from a pressurized state, and the rod-shaped boss 5a rotates in the reverse direction while abutting against the link lever 6a, so that the door 7 is closed without generating impact and sound.

    Abstract: An ice maker and a refrigerator having the same include an ice making container which is maintained at a temperature higher than a freezing point of water. Ace core rods having the temperature lower than the freezing point are inserted into the ice making container to cause water in the container to freeze. Accordingly, water at the periphery of the ice making container remains liquid which the water surrounding the ice core rods freezes. As a result, air bubbles generated when the ice is made can be discharged from the liquid portions of the water at the outer edges of the container. This results in ice without trapped air bubbles, which allows excellent transparent ice pieces to be formed. In some embodiments, the exterior surfaces of the ice making container are maintained at a temperature lower than the freezing point of water, and thawing rods maintained at the temperature higher than the freezing point of water are inserted into the center portions of the ice making container.
