Abstract: An interconnect system for connecting adjacent fuel cells in a fuel cell stack. The system comprises five elements: a separator plate to provide an anode gas flow space when joined to a mating cell frame; a first metal interconnect disposed between the separator plate and the anode surface; a nickel oxide paste applied in a pattern over the surface of the anode and adjacent surface of the separator plate which when sintered results in a conductive layer bonded to the anode and to the separator plate; a second metal interconnect disposed between the cathode surface of the cell and the separator plate of the adjacent cell cassette; and a silver-containing paste applied over the surface of the cathode and the separator plate which when sintered results in a conductive layer bonded to the cathode and to the separator plate.

Abstract: A high density optical disc that can be driven changeably with the existent optical disc by the same driving apparatus. On the recording surface of the optical disc, a light transmissive layer with a thickness of about 0.2 to 0.4 mm is formed. The recording face is accessed by allowing a light beam with a wavelength of 395 to 425 nm in a spot shape to be irradiated onto it. Also, the light beam is converged in a spot shape by an objective lens having the numerical aperture of about 0.62 to 0.68.

Abstract: A parallel chip embedded printed circuit board and manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. With a method of manufacturing a parallel chip embedded printed circuit board, comprising: (a) forming a parallel chip by connecting in parallel a plurality of unit chips having electrodes or electrically connected members formed on the upper and lower surfaces thereof, using at least one conductive member; (b) joining an electrode on one side of the parallel chip to a first board; and (c) joining an electrode on the other side of the parallel chip to a second board, chips may be embedded in a printed circuit board at a low cost, as a plurality of unit chips can be embedded at once, and a mechanical drill or router can be used instead of a laser drill in perforating the cavity or via holes.

Abstract: A mounting substrate and a method of manufacturing the mounting substrate. The mounting substrate can include an insulation layer, a bonding pad buried in one side of the insulation layer in correspondence with a mounting position of a chip, and a circuit pattern electrically connected to the bonding pad. By utilizing certain embodiments of the invention, the process for stacking a solder resist layer can be omitted, as the bonding pads can be implemented in a form recessed from the surface of the insulation layer. In this way, the manufacturing process can be simplified and manufacturing costs can be reduced. Since the surface of the mounting-substrate on which to mount a chip can be kept flat without any protuberances, the occurrence of voids in the underfill can be minimized. This is correlated to obtaining a high degree of reliability, and leads to a greater likelihood of successful mounting.

Abstract: A method for recording control information on a recording medium. The method includes generating control information for controlling recording/reproducing data on/from the recording medium. The control information includes a first speed information indicating a maximum recording speed, a second speed information indicating a minimum recording speed, and a third speed information indicating one or more basic recording speeds. The third speed information represents whether each of the basic recording speeds are applicable to the recording medium or not. Thereafter, the method calls for recording the control information on a specific area of the recording medium.

Abstract: One embodiment includes providing control information, wherein the control information includes one or more recording speed flags indicating respectively whether one or more recording speeds are applicable to each of the recording layers. The control information also includes write strategy information depending on each of the applicable recording speeds, and the control information is recorded on a specific area of the recording medium.

Abstract: A method for joining two ceramic parts, or a ceramic part and a metal part, and the joint formed thereby. The method provides two or more parts, a braze consisting of a mixture of copper oxide and silver, a diffusion barrier, and then heats the braze for a time and at a temperature sufficient to form the braze into a bond holding the two or more parts together. The diffusion barrier is an oxidizable metal that forms either a homogeneous component of the braze, a heterogeneous component of the braze, a separate layer bordering the braze, or combinations thereof. The oxidizable metal is selected from the group Al, Mg, Cr, Si, Ni, Co, Mn, Ti, Zr, Hf, Pt, Pd, Au, lanthanides, and combinations thereof.

Abstract: A driving safety control apparatus for a vehicle is provided. In some embodiments, the driving safety control apparatus makes use of a hybrid wheel sensor capable of automatically detecting an abnormal state of one or more chassis components generated when the vehicle is running by using speed and acceleration signals of the hybrid wheel sensor with a semiconductor acceleration sensor mounted on the wheel of the vehicle, thereby informing the driver of the detected abnormal state. In this manner, the detected abnormal part can be repaired at an early stage. Also, the behavior of the vehicle wheels can be monitored, whereby signals representative of the measured behavior can be transmitted to an active suspension for improved control of the active suspension, compared to known systems.

Abstract: A method for recording/reproducing data on/from a recording medium. The method provides for reading/recording speed information from a specific area of the recording medium, where the recording speed information includes a first information indicating a maximum recording speed, a second information indicating a minimum recording speed, a third information indicating a predetermined recording speed different from the maximum or minimum recording speed, and a fourth information indicating a basic recording speed. Thereafter, the method provides for recording/reproducing the data on/from the recording medium according to the reading/recording speed information.

Abstract: Provided is a door basket for a refrigerator. The door basket includes a case, a cover, and a contact member. The case is mounted on a rear side of a refrigerator door and forms a space for receiving food. The cover is axially coupled between both sides of the case and selectively shielding the case through up/down rotation. The contact member is provided on an inner side of the case contacting one end of the cover when the cover is completely opened, and formed of an electrical material to relieve a contact impact with the cover.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an Active Matrix Organic Light-Emitting-Diode (AMOLED) drive circuit using transient current feedback. The AMOLED drive circuit includes a current Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC), a data line drive transistor, a constant current source, a variable current source, a differential amplifier, and a transient charging current control unit. The DAC generates current corresponding to input digital data. The data line drive transistor is configured such that the drain terminal thereof is connected to the output node of the current DAC. The constant current source is connected between the source terminal of the data line drive transistor and a ground. The variable current source is connected between both the output node of the current DAC and the drain terminal of the drive transistor, and a voltage source. The differential amplifier is configured to input the output voltage thereof to the gate terminal of the drive transistor.

Abstract: A method for joining together two or more ceramic and/or metal parts by providing a braze consisting of a mixture of copper oxide, silver, and ceramic particulate. The braze is placed upon the surfaces of the parts, which are then held together for sufficient time and at a sufficient temperature to cause the braze to form a bond between the parts. The addition of the ceramic particulate increases the viscosity of the braze, decreasing squeeze out, decreasing the formation of air pockets, decreases the formation of brittle phases by providing nucleation sites and increases the flexural strength of the joint.

Abstract: An apparatus of controlling reception of various kinds of paper media includes a reception unit to allow the various kinds of paper media to be received, a pick-up unit to pick up the paper media from the reception unit one sheet by one sheet, a transport unit to transport the picked up paper media, a separation control sensing unit mounted on the transport unit to sense whether the paper media is passing through a predetermined transport path, a skew sensing unit mounted on the transport unit to sense skew of the paper media, and a control unit to operate the pick-up unit when the separation control sensing unit senses the paper media passing, and to suspend a forward operation of the transport unit and operate the transport unit backwards when the skew sensing unit senses the skew of the paper media.

Abstract: A cyclic referencing management method and apparatus, a parsing method and apparatus, and a computer readable recording medium storing a program to implement the methods are provided. The method for managing cyclic referencing that may occur by mutual references of assets in a file provided to control assets in a multimedia application environment, includes: detecting an asset generating cyclic referencing; and ignoring the asset generating cycling referencing. According to the methods and apparatuses, cyclic referencing that can occur in a file to control assets can be detected and processed such that the system can be prevented from entering an indefinite loop or causing an erroneous operation.

Abstract: A user interface method in a multimedia playing device having a touch screen is provided. The user interface method includes displaying, while playing a multimedia file, at least one sound source object in a first area of the touch screen, identifying, if an input event is generated for the sound source object, a type of the input event, changing a form of the displayed sound source object according to the type of the input event, and controlling the play of the multimedia file. Accordingly, while playing a multimedia file, an attribute of a playing multimedia file is displayed in a touch screen of a multimedia playing device, and the attribute of the playing multimedia file may easily be changed by touching and dragging the touch screen.

Abstract: An apparatus for measuring on-chip characteristics in a semiconductor circuit is provided. The apparatus for measuring the on-chip characteristics includes an oscillation unit, a timing test unit, and a selection unit. The oscillation unit is configured to selectively output a first oscillation signal responsive to a first control signal. The timing test unit is configured to generate a second oscillation signal using an input clock signal, generate a pulse from the second oscillation signal responsive to a second control signal, and determine whether an operating time violation has occurred based on a comparison of the second oscillation signal and the pulse. The selection unit is configured to select one of the output of the oscillation unit and the output of the timing test unit responsive to a test mode signal.

The advertising method using a web browser is constructed in such a manner that a moving state of a cursor is detected when a web browser is activated to be displayed, an advertising logo or phase is displayed at a portion above a text box when it is detected that the cursor is not positioned at a command input box such as menu bar, tool bar, location bar, etc., and a corresponding command input bot at which the cursor is located is displayed to receive a control signal from a user when it is detected that the cursor is placed at one of the menu bar, tool bar, location bar, etc.
